I didn’t...and Jesus Christ that was brutal. I had a frog in my throat at the end. Great movie and I’m not a Josh Brolin fan but what a great role. Miles teller is on a hot streak

Whiplash, war dogs, bleed for this, only the brave, and thank you for your service all within 3 years (war dogs was 59% but I thought Jonah Hill was it’s downfall). Fantastic 4 was a shite show I’ll admit that

He’s become the new Shia, has solid roles but is hated on because he’s a douche

Yea his stretch is not not bad by any means, but whiplash is really the only one to brag about. However it does sound like Only the Brave is pretty damn good and need to see. I'll call it a warm streak

Now Ryan Gosling would fall in hot streak category imo. The Big Short, The Nice Guys, La La Land and Blade Runner all since 2015

I knew what the outcome was but I didn't know the story.....good movie all the way round but yeah the end was "emotional" to say the least.

knew the story, still enjoyed it, did a good job of developing the characters where you care about them, which makes or breaks a movie

Why wouldn't you say the same for James Badge-Dale?

I knew about it, it was all over the news at the time

The Perfect Storm was worse though, when I saw that one I had no idea about that story.

Meh. He's getting roles in good movies. If that's what you meant, then I agree. Otherwise, other than Whiplash, can't name any other movie that he actually was good in.
