I would agree it's not worth it for a run of a mill movie....but this is gonna be a good one.

I can do without the 3D, but it's the IMAX that makes it worth it. The larger screen is the smallest benefit IMO of the IMAX experience.

And i was never a fan of matinee movies.

It does suck that most IMAX movies coming out will be 3D though

WTF.....colored lenses for the IMAX 3D glasses?!

They better work some magic to compensate on the projection, or I am going to be pissed.

Holy frick I didn't think they would literally do projector magic.

I would swear it was purple and green lenses, but when the IMAX intro got started, it turned clear

Hey hey hey.....in my defense it was typed under my hat, and I just "missed" a trailer for the upcoming cars movie where apparently the main plot point is that Mater is some big evil spy. I was just completely shocked to see the lens apparently change colors

Movie is at least as good as Iron Man....arguably better. Biggest difference is the obvious mysticism compared to OM's obviously more "realistic" approach

I'm glad to hear it's on the same level as Iron Man

Only plot hole that bugged me was (it's like 3 minutes into the movie) when the Asgardians made contact with the Vikings, Thor was a kid, if he even was born yet.

Where did the legend come from?

I can already see how the plot of the avengers will play out though.

Spoilers:

Post credit scene seems to tie in the Captain America movie, and starts to build the plot for Avengers

And my one main problem with the film is with the character. Thor is just too damn powerful. Stark/Iron Man is powerful, but with weaknesses that must be overcome. Once Thor gets his hammer, you are fricked, do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars.

his brother gave him a hell of a fight, though. Although he did make that seemingly all-powerful Destroyer his bitch

I hold that to him being king at the time, and having that staff, which is probably just as powerful of a relic (if not more so).

He got pretty impotent when he was separated with it.
