Does he burn their house down and then kill himself?

The kids were all at Miguel's when they were finding out

Ok, I will be the first to admit I'm confused about the ending? What are we supposed to assume?

The mail box said Pearson.

That was their house. It burned down. Either Jack dies in a house fire or he burns it down himself.

Also is Kevin in the cast saying something? Do we know how that happens?

If not, maybe he was hurt in the house fire.

I bet the house burns down and Jack ends up killing himself later.

I can't see Jack killing himself.

Kevin's leg being in the cast may have to do with football. If it were something to do with the fire, then he likely would've been with Randall and Kate at Miguel's house.

Rebecca was just coming back from the hospital/morgue with Jack's stuff and they were still spraying the house down with water.

I'm guessing he was drunk and passed out when the house caught fire and either got trapped or didnt wake up.

Rebecca was on the way home alone with his stuff in a ziplock bag. She likely just came from the coroner after IDing his body.

Randall and Kate at Miguel’s clearly upset and Kate says she has to be the one to tell Kevin.

Kevin is out making out with Sophie with a broken leg.

Rebecca pulls up to their house (mailbox says Pearson and it was shown earlier) to see firefighters still hosing it down and its roped off with caution tape.

So we now know Jacks death is somehow related to the fire and whenever we see Kevin break his leg, we know the death is imminent.

On the after show they said we still don't know how he died. This is just a small part of the whole story.

Could be sort of a smokescreen? Doubt they telegraph such a big reveal this way... Get everyone thinking its from the housefire, when it will end up being something else.

Questions from that ending, who the hell was the red head holding teenage Randall's hand, where did the dog come from that Kate is holding, what is significant about Kevin's broken leg

Also, jack went to the bar months to try to get Rebecca a gig months after the "separation". That's right before the death.

Quotes from the cast:

Chrissy Metz

quote:

“It might not be as obvious as maybe what Dan is saying, and maybe it might be to some others. You definitely want to pay attention to something that might be very subtle — or perhaps small — but very instrumental in the discovery of Jack’s passing.”

Mandy Moore

quote:

“Once this piece of the puzzle airs, I think it will be a tremendous relief to all of us, because there’s so much that we’re tip-toeing around at this point. I think it’s going to satisfy people, but by no means is this the full story. It will satiate people but I don’t know if it will… Ooh! It’s so hard to describe, because you’re going to think one thing but it’s not the whole story. You’re going to think, ‘Oh, okay, well, this is it. This is exactly what happened.’ And that’s not the case at all.”

Milo Ventimiglia

quote:

“It hits you in a moment and you go, ‘Oh, sh--. This is it!’ And then we leave you with that, and we don’t explain more. We just leave you on a moment where you understand everything — but you know nothing. “

Only 2 pages on such a quality show?

It was definitely Kate's fault... she was smoking hams in the basement when the house caught fire.. Jack ran back in to save her dog sucking on a ham bone.

Too soon?
