Jay went to a party. Jay didn't like dumb shite. The apocalypse happened.

I rest my case.

seriously though about 1/3 of the jokes in this movie were about the guys making fun of themselves, hollywood, and the dumb movies they've made...the best was when they were talking aobut sequels and laughed at doing one for your highness

Of course not

I just don't like movies that rely on low IQ humor. It's not funny to me it's lame. That has nothing to do with how I feel about a movie like Jurassic Park or something.

jay's character (i know they were playing themselves, but it was exaggerated forms of themselves) in this is the end is basically the movie making fun of people like DS...so it fully applies

Agree fully, thats the secondary layer of the movie that makes it great, just making fun of themselves, hollywood, and the perception of themselves

I just really wish Micheal Cera is really like that IRL

I don't live in a cultural vacuum.

Lets take the waterboy for example:

Adam Sandler plays an idiot whose mom lives in a swamp and he's really good at the fooseball

Evil LSU coach kicks him off the team

Idiot transfers to ULL and wrecks shop

Lots if dick and fart jokes

Rob Schnider says you can do it

ULL beats LSU

Did I miss anything?

Nobody is above ridicule but its interesting how threatened people who like these movies become when someone doesn't think it's funny

Nobody cares about a differing opinion.

Its the whole "im above this type of humor" that makes you a pretentious doucher

Especially when you havent even seen the movie. So i dont see how you can expect anyone to respect your opinion on the movie

yeah i thought it was going to be a lower comedy than it was, and i was refreshed at how it did play out

i knew they'd mock some things, but not to the extent that they did

also, it's awesome to me how they are a group of friends who are fricking off making a movie. not only is it just cool as shite, but at the same time it really helps with the end result, imho. they weren't getting checks and mailing it in...they were trying to be funny as frick

i will almost guarantee you "the phone" scene happened in real life..i just hope he did that himself and they're putting in in a movie to blast him. that would be so awesome

the problem is that they're nothing alike, but you're comparing them for some reason

that's why this conversation is funny
