Speaking of The Witcher folks, or just 'creatives' in general? There's lots of stuff about Star Wars and Witcher specifically, where they talk about elevating the glorious Wahmen while neutering the male characters. But just look at all the IPs where white men have been erased or denigrated, while young Mary Sue's are the key to everything!

Not having read the books or played the video game, I can't speak to how true they tried to stick to the source material. From those who know, sounds like they didn't even try. Sound familiar? See Star Wars, and every other IP that's been hijacked by big corporations in a rush to bleed witless fans and normies out of their hard-earned cash.

Willow never ranked very high on the nostalgia meter for me. At the time, it was marginally watchable, and I get why some liked it, but I could take it or leave it. But it did have its audience and fandom. I think a young Val Kilmer helped. But now, with zero connections to Val or really much of anything, it's an empty shell which the producers see as a vehicle to push an agenda.
The story telling is incoherent. The plot is terrible. Just a hard pass all around for me.
