Attempted Netflix mash-up of Kiss the Girls and Silence of the Lambs.
DeNiro is way past his prime but his scenes with Michael Keaton were fun to watch. The cowardice and incompetence of the father (Adam Scott) and investigating detective (Michele Monaghan) were grating but better than the typical female supercop trope.
Reasonable C- movie with a few quality scenes. Worth the Netflix viewing, I think.

I thought the acting was solid by everyone but the pacing felt disjointed, it became fairly predictable by the midpoint, and the ending was ridiculous. Some decent ideas but all but one of the best moments were given away in the trailer. Maybe something was lost in translation from the book to the movie but the synopsis sounds to me like the book has the same issues I disliked from the movie.
C is a fair grade.

Watched today with wife.
Decent film. Held our attention. Not gonna win awards and will likely be a movie we pull up in a few years to watch forgetting we’d already seen it until 10 minutes in.

Yeah it was da good movie., but I figured who the killer was pretty quick. Enjoyable movie tho.

It was fine. Not enough creepy or scary moments compared to what I was expecting, and the killer was really predictable at a certain point. Best moment was when DeNiro finally laid it out for Keaton, as you could tell Deniro's character had been holding back that psychological evisceration for years.

Was fine until the last few scenes. Leaving an unobstructed death trap in a room your kid has access to is certainly a head scratcher.

Adam Scott loves playing nerdy writers in films...Hookum and now this lol

I was pretty disappointed overall. The DeNiro/Keaton scenes were pretty awesome though.

I thought it was pretty bad

6/10 for me. Good ideas, just some poor execution. A comparison for me would be "Prisoners" which is far superior, the characters really grabbed my attention... they did with TWM too, just not long enough. Somehow I tuned out seeing De Niro as De Niro

C is generous. The movie overall was just not very good. Acting was above average, certainly not great, and the story was poor.
