I just watched this movie again last night. Still one of the best movies ever made in my opinion.
Then...
Now...
Furies
I even had the video game for my Xbox.

I love that movie. Really entertaining. I believe it was done with a really low budget too.
I found this on youtube about the final scene. Thought it was cool.

People forget that New York getting sanitized was fairly recent. Its both a triumph and a shame that kids won't know it like it was to appreciate it now.

Remember they made a video game based on it, it was terrible. Still played the hell out of it.

It was reviewed fairly well when it came out.

James Remar’s career probably would have been larger if not for his drug problems.
Those issues caused James Cameron to recast the role of Hicks to be Michael Beihn instead.
As far as trivia goes, I’m not sure how much people know about some of the original plans and why they changed, with some of it documented on the remastered version.
Specifically, the film was supposed to push Fox (Thomas G. Waits) as a lead which is why he and Mercy were originally paired onscreen.
Between a lack of chemistry between them and Waits getting on Walter Hill’s bad side, the character Fox was killed by getting run over by a subway train.
The changes resulting from this were the complete changing of Swan’s arc, originally showing him captured and tortured by other gangs before escaping, to pairing him up with Mercy.
It also changed how the scene at the Lizzies’ clubhouse played out, as one or two of the members were originally to be shot and killed then dumped in the river. This was scrapped after the character Fox was killed off.
Waites is likely to be known by film buffs as one client of Al Pacino in And Justice For All as well as Windows in The Thing.

Waits was already gone when they filmed the death scene. His stunt double did the entire scene.

THIS!!!
The Wanderers is the most underrated film in American cinema history imo.
What a soundtrack!

Read this plot. You're equally full of horse shite. See how easy that was.
The Wanderers was freaking awesome.
