I'm all in. I'm even watching FTWD and then gonna catch up on The World Beyond all so that I don't miss anything on TWD. FTWD is actually not so terrible in the middle of season 4. It's taken me about 2 years at least to get this far. But, fairly interesting right now.

Show fricked up IMO when they didnt give the audience the satisfaction of knowing who negan killed on that season finale.

They should have showed him doing that to Abraham, and let the audience digest that till the next season. Then when we come back to see what happens, thinking it can't get any worse..boom, Glenn. By doing what they did, they greqtly reduced the significance of Abraham's character. Glenn alone would have been enough to set the tone for that season.

Walking Dead, allbeit in a smaller scale, has a game of thrones problem.

Ever since they got to Alexandria, even casual fans could have story boarded a better plot and storyline for the group than the writers came up with.

And I say that as someone who still watches every episode.

Yep. This was the beginning of the end for me. The comic books jumped the shark around this time too, so I pretty much cut all ties at the end of that season. I still haven't watched Rick's final episodes.

Yep, and I remember many people talking about it at the time. Terrible decision on the producers part.

Alienated alot of viewers that they never got back.

And completely opened it up to be spoiled. Everyone knew both characters were going to die before the next season premiere. If they had just killed one of them in that season's finale, most people would have ignored the spoilers as nonsense.

They completely lost the element of surprise that should have come from having two deaths because of how they handled it.

So was not allowing this to go ahead..

IMO would have been an epic moment in tv.

Eta

And tbh, they should have kept Glenn around for longer. If the show hadn't taken a shite with the writing and production, I'd have still watched with Glenn in the lead. If Carl was getting shitcanned anyways, Rick being able to pass something on, would make sense to be for Glenn as they did have a special bond. Glenn came to his rescue and ultimately saved his life coming out of episode 1. He was basically always loyal to Rick (except for the Merle shite, but Merle redeemed himself) and became a man/leader in the events. And should have happened way earlier.

Show was always better with them on the road. Seems like Daryl, Carrol and Morgan have had too many arcs + have been around too long with lazy writing.

Maybe Negan should have killed Daryl instead of Glenn after he attacked him, fans may hate it but it would have even more legitimized negan as a villain..and if Carl was to die and have Rick go on, Morgan should have been able to use what he learned from Eastman + his own experience with Duane to once again save Rick, then gtfo.. Carrol should have survived terminus but probably not Alexandria wolves + fall of the wall.

The season after season of Carrol and Morgan going back and forth between badasses and crazy/depressed have been pretty disappointing.

I'm not going to drop any spoilers. But the new episode is on AMC+. I watched it last night. I'm kind of lost on some of the story, since I haven't done any rewatches in a long time. But it was alright..

You are probably correct. They jumped the shark a long time ago.

That's when I quit. Then I found out it was just violence porn with the murders of Abraham and Glen and I was happy I stopped watching.

I clicked on this thread shocked to find out that this show is still going on and found out that not only is it ongoing but that it’s has not one but two spin offs ongoing.

Man AMC completely died with breaking bad and mad men. The network is an undead zombie that is filled with shows about zombie. Very meta when you think about it.
