Haven't seen this or GoT yet.
The Wire is pretty awesome. I'm about to start season 3.
I still need to watch: GoT, Sopranos, Boardwalk, and Deadwood. I've got a lot of great shows to watch.

Yep, the show is rolling like it's in quicksand and that fact hasn't gone unnoticed by the critics.
What if other TV shows were as slow as this season of 'The Walking Dead'?
That article is so full of shite, a year ago people were saying Glen Mazzara was moving way to fast with the show.
Its a troll article to get hits because 95 percent of the stuff written about this season so far has been positive.

Same here with some shows. Waiting till after football season for when things are really boring tv-wise. I think ill start with GoT.
Actually looking forward to the next hell on wheels season as well. I think the walking dead picks back up in January?

Sorry, but the season is moving slow. There have been some good episodes but we're still at the prison and the mid-season finale is... another battle against the Governor. Wonder if there will be another one next season? Sort of like a college football border war! Maybe they can even have a trophy?

I'm wondering if the tank fricks up the prison and they end up leaving. I for one would be happy to see them on the road again.
As far as dieing I'm putting money on Hershel, Glenn he has to be weak from the flu still and I think the fighting will get him, and the Governor, I think he has played out his time as the main human antagonist. At least I hope this is the end of the Gov, kinda tired of him.

Honestly do you think something as defining as the Governor's death/fall of the prison would happen any time but a Midseason/end of season finale?
No way they could have ended the Governor arc at the end of last season.

Perhaps not but they could have let it rest a while and brought him back at a later point. And before you mention the comics the show does't necessarily have to (nor has as far as I'm aware) followed them verbatim.

Perhaps but any discussion of pacing/series direction is going to be based on the comics even the changes mirror it. That tends to happen when the adapted work is ran by original author and he has veto power.
Not to mention the only reason they have a "prison" is AMC paid for it on the condition it would be used multiple seasons.
If we had ended the Governor arc at the end of the 3rd season we would probably be 40 percent or more through the source material and about 80 percent of the good source material.

Non-readers: I have no idea what the comic is about, and I don't want to, and I don't want to be spoiled. And even though I don't known where the group is going, this show is still moving slow and I hate it. frick having patience and understanding, I'm not watching anymore. Please don't spoil the show for me.
Readers: The comic is nothing like the show, so why is everyone freaking out?

Pretty much sums it up.
I haven't read much of the comics but I did read Rise of the Governor book. It's interesting to see the show use elements from the book interjected in random places. (Though I won't mention any so as not to be killed in my sleep by other posters).

I think the gov survives and returns in the second half.

I'd be shocked if the Gov kicked it. would kinda be pissed if he got 2eps just to himself then he just gets clocked out. seems like a waste

y'all realize the Governor is the TWD equivalent of the Joker right?
Posted on 12/1/13 at 7:03 pm to Libertyabides71
I doubt Rick holds to the same moral standards as Batman.
Posted on 12/1/13 at 7:05 pm to Libertyabides71
Joker would have killed rick at that sitdown.
I know I know...just sayin.

I mean that he isn't a two bit thug, he is the first "supervillain" of TWD universe.

Yeah, in the comic he cuts a smile in Beth's face.
