I'm behind.
Adam looks like crap as a blonde.
Kat was rocking and the stage setup made it even more dramatic. I couldn't understand some of the words, but I think she redeemed herself from last week.

You usually hate any performer named Kat. I'm impressed. First time that's happened since you proposed to me.
I do have to say . . . Delvin has a great voice and I like him. Every one at this stage of the competition is extremely talented.

I loved Kristen, too.
Haven't heard Delvin yet.
Hat, Kat was in the bottom last week because she didn't get the votes. I think she'll get them this week. Take that whatever way you like.

About to watch Josh do my favorite song of all time.

I'll be surprised if you don't get goosies, Darla.
Delvin did a good job. Didn't bowl me over, though.

Not sure, Gris. I might have to watch it five or six more times. ;-)

Somehow, I had a feeling there would be more than one viewing for you. I was just checking to see if you'd posted and thinking you were listening again.

Audra was strong also.

Well, I'll be damned! Look at Little Jake getting all comfy cozy on stage and rockin' the house! I was movin' and groovin' while he sang. He was like a new person. So glad he got to stay another week. It did a lot for him. It will help him regardless of when he goes home. I hate to see him go after that performance, but he could be next. I guess it's better to go out on a high, but he was a totally different person. Good for him...he's a 17 year old kid from a small town and he finally overcame his issues.

Yeah, a confident Jake was fun to watch. Such a good kid. He will be successful. Blake will make sure of it

I sure hope so. He's so genuine and likable. Funny kid.
Grimmie is looking cool. She's killing it. Good Lawd. That was mighty fine. She's going to be at the top of itunes. It's time for Ursher to stop taking credit for her.

Time for the Top 8 performances...
Gwen is singing a song from how many years ago but Pharrell has one of the hottest songs in years and he's singing something new instead of it? That's almost as fricked up as Adam's hair. He looks like a gayer version of Andy Warhol.
Blake called him "Miley"!
Wait... even MORE guest coaches??? What the hell?? At this rate I expect them to dig Tiny Tim up for next week. sheesh!
Sisaundra singing "River Deep, Mountain High": Last week someone on the video diary kind of mimicked her doing "Proud Mary" and I thought her doing Tina Turner would be a no-brainer, and here we go... with her over-singing the beginning of the song. She's doing a good job, but it takes a whole freaking orchestra to match her. She really needs to learn to reign it in unless she wants to Bria out of the competition. I expected more soul from her performance.
Wow! Talk about a poker face, her mom looks like she could have been watching a presentation on accountability and performance in a customer service call center instead of watching her daughter sing her arse off on a well-known national show.
Josh Kaufman singing "I Can't Make You Love Me": The practice snippets show great potential for this. I hope he opens up and gets into the song.
Starting off really nicely. He seems really in touch with the song, I especially like the touch with him singing from on the barstool. Damn, he's being pimp-smooth on this song! Unless something crazy happens, he should be a shoe-in for the next round based on this performance. That was a panty-dropping performance, it should like Girl Scout cookies.
Damn that Carson and his "Ush" bullshite. I would wish someone would start calling him "Car" but that douchenugget would probably take it as a compliment.
Blake Shelton and... who? The chick from Season 2? Does she have country album out? The Wiki says she's been touring with Blake and Miranda, so I guess this is him helping her to try to get her career off the ground. Does this mean we can expect a David St. Romain appearance on there as well someday?
Kat Perkins singing "Get Lucky": Dunno how she is going to beat "Lady Marmalade", but I have a feeling this isn't going to do the trick. Hearing the beginning of this I can't help but think that maybe she should have tackled "Children of the Sun" instead. This isn't a bad rendition, but it sounds like a song that you feel should be good but just isn't and only gets airplay because of pushy music reps. She was technically perfect (although the volume of the music could hide a lot), I just don't think it was the breakout she was hoping for.
Kristen Merlin singing "I Drive Your Truck": She seemed to lose her timing for a brief second just after the start, but she picked it back up. The music is drowning her out. For such a soft part I want to hear the voice with the music being a background mood-setter. At times she would take her proper place being over the music but for most of the performance it seemed like a battle as to who was going to get the most volume, her or the band. What I could hear of her, she did well with one or two small pitch issues.
Pharrell Williams and his new single "Come Get It". Good Lord, if one of the contestants were off-key as often as he was during the first couple of high-pitched parts, they would get voted off instead of being asked to be a coach. Casty performance is
Delvin Choice singing "I Believe I Can Fly": He's doing a fantastic job on this song. It's exactly the performance he needed right now. That may be the best song he's done all competition (possible exception being his blind audition).
Blake working in a Susan Powter reference at Adam, nice.
Audra McLaughlin singing "Forgive": Shaky start, which is really odd for her because she's been so perfect on her pitch the past few weeks. It sounds like her performance needs a little more polish. She's done so much better on other songs, it took her up to around the halfway point to find her way into the song. This song may end up sending her home and that's a shame because she's sooooo much better than this performance.
Gwen Stefani. This song would have been cake to lip sync, glad to see she didn't (I was paying attention ;) ). I hope she and Phareell can do better jobs with their teams than "Ush" and "Shak" have, or Cee-Lo and XTina.
I still miss Cee-Lo's crazy rap he would toss out, and the animals he would bring with him. You can't fake good eccentricities like that.
Jake Worthington singing "Hillbilly Deluxe": He really needs to earn his spot this week, he's gotten by on only his personality the past couple of weeks. Listening to the practice, he sounded good but like he's sitting just on the back edge of the pocket. Okay, he's bringing it tonight, it's about damned time. He was really out there pushing himself and being aggressive with the song. I don't think he had a single bad note and was dead on with his timing.
Christina Grimmie singing "How To love": I feel bad for her tonight, she really doesn't want to do this song and is only doing it because Adam is pushing her to do it. It's crazy because she's got a shite-ton of songs she's done her own spin on already that she could pull from.
I like the lighted mic stand, that's a cool touch. She's got such a good sound, there was a point or two where it sounded iffy but she's so damned good, that one long note she held and just kept going up and up then brought it down... crazy good job on that part. Even if this wasn't her best performance, her youtube fans will pull her through this round.
Blake brought up a good point. Not only does she sound good, but she really is good at working the stage. I hope she does something different next week.
This is going to be a tough one. The bottom performances seemed to be Audra and Sisaundra with Kat or Kristen being a close third, to me.

I'm not sure who will be in the bottom 3. I'm having a hard time figuring that out. No one was bad. I didn't love Sasaundra, but she's obviously got a following like Tess did last year. Might be too late for Jake to save himself, but he wasn't in the bottom last week. I really don't know. I hope it's not Kristen who goes. Wasn't her best night, but I love her. Can't be Grimmie or Josh. We'll see what happens with itunes.
Pharell looked drunk and I could hardly hear him singing when he did actually sing. Didn't like the song. I didn't get it. Whole thing was a strange choice, for me.
I hope Adam's hair is back to normal tomorrow. It was hard looking at him and taking him seriously.
