has anyone not in the top 10 ever knocked off someone in the top 10? i'm not too familiar with the voting process, I know they get a multiplier. does this mean it's pretty much a lock michelle and sasha go home?

Without reading any of the comments so far, I just finished the first half of the show. Here are my thoughts so far.

Swon Brothers - absolutely killed it. This is exactly how it should be with big brother taking the lead role and little brother just backing him up. Started the show off on a very high note... glad they were kept. I've only counted one average performance throughout the show and it was last week.

Michelle Chamuel - It was good. It's always pretty good... just not spectacular. It's kind of weird that I would be shocked if she won it all, but not shocked at the same time.

Sasha Allen - I've been waiting for this all season for her to sing a monster ballad like this one and I thought it would be perfect for her. Not saying it wasn't, I was actually underwhelmed... I thought she would destroy it. It wasn't as powerful that I thought it should have been. Beautiful girl with a great voice but I don't see her being a star. She should do broadway... would have a successful career there.

Danielle Bradbury - Killed it. Short and sweet. There's no denying she's the favorite... what's there to say about her first performance.

Amber Carrington - Wrong song choice. Adam should not have let her sang that song. This is the second time in the competition I think he should have stepped in and choose a better song for his artist. It's unfortunate because I think this girl could give Danielle a run for her money... not after that performance.

2nd half - I'll keep it shorter.

SB - Killed it again. I said it once before somewhere in this thread, I'd pay to see them.

MC - Come on Usher, it was solid, but that wasn't the winner. Was hoping she would have hit a higher register when the glass broke... she didn't.

SA - Her best performance of the entire show imo. Fun, upbeat, and it finally looked natural.

DB - I felt the way Usher felt when she finished the song.

AC - 10 times better than her first performance. That's what she needs to be singing right now.

Danielle, Swon Brothers, and Sasha stays for me.

Watched all of last season and stopped this season after Chris got voted off. There was just a bunch of fat girls moving on and I just didn't care for them. If you're unique, you get voted off. Last season, Melanie Martinez was friggin awesome, but of course big tits McGee had it out for and never gave her a compliment so she got voted off.

I have them dvr'd but I hate Carson daly with a passion. Because of this show. He is possibly the worst host of anything, in all of history. And time. All of it. He's the worst.

Yup. If she were to go any higher, her voice would crack and any lower, you couldn't hear anything.

It got pretty redundant from week to week with her.

Somebody just belting out a high note doesn't impress me. There are a million of them on every singing show there is. Wow, she can hold a high note for a really long time. I'd take a unique voice over some run of the mill 20 second long high note at the end of a song that 3/4 of these singers do.
