Kris Thomas would fit perfectly in a New Edition or 112 type group. He's a good singer but wasn't exactly anything special nor marketable. He had a record deal in the past... tough genre to break in to.

You're getting funny. Cassadee Pope turned out to be sort of a country pop rock singer and she performed on the 2013 CMT awards...but, yeah, a country artist will never win. Sheesh. What if there's only country girls left in the end? I guess no one will win.

I liked Kris. I was sorry to see him go, but he didn't shine like he should have. I think he's got a unique tone.
Judith and Sarah went down. Week before this one, Sarah was great. Looks like folks are voting on the week's performances and not overall sticking with their favorite from start to finish.

there are deserving country contestants and I have no problem with them moving on, I don't dislike country at all in fact I have a good bit on my mp3 player. however you can't deny the fact that they are single genre voters regardless of ability

Dude had the most boringly average cookie cutter R&B voice. It baffles me how he won. You could have gone in the audience and found 20 people that could sing exactly like Paul.

I'm baffled as to how the Swon Brothers are still in it. You can go to a decent country bar and hear guys that sound just like them (or better). It feels like I'm completely missing something. All the other country acts on the show are miles better than them, and all the vocalists are better.
