I think that they thought of the wife torpedoing the defense as their big "twist", but anyone could've seen that it was a terrible idea to have her testify. It being intentionally damaging didn't add much to it.

The book did a better job of dealing with the twist.

The intro music is the worst. What a horrible choice. Thank goodness for the skip intro option.

But I was waiting for him to allow the mother to get in close and then grab Henry as a "frick you for fricking me over", and then jump with the kid.

I hope Henry did it, because he is an annoying little punk that's needs to be punished
The hate for child characters seems knee jerk at this point. I thought the character was fine and the kid did a pretty good damned job.

best moment of the show for me.

Easily the best moment of the show for me. More than made up for the bland ending. That lawyer was a bad bitch.

I thought the entire series was well done- yes the legal proceedings were a little out there, but that's every TV courtroom. Even though we didn't get a "twist" I think the writers threw enough crumbs out there to make everyone a suspect. In this thread alone we had pegged Sutherland, Kidman, the blonde friend, the husband and both sons as the killer. Seems like we knew all along it was going to be Grant, but at least they went down a few rabbit holes for us.

The revelation that the lawyer saw right through him all along was fantastic.

All and all I thought the legal proceedings were fine. Even when she tried to call the "shock witness" they showed that he was on a witness list.

I was disappointed it was the husband in the end, but the ride to get there was great. I thought he actually did walk out and leave her, so was surprised when he ended up killing her.

I binged this between Sunday and last night, I give it a solid 6.5/10. Would be a little higher if the last episode was better.

Figured the blonde lawyer friend was the "other one off affair" and that was potentially involved with jealousy.

Alas, she just provided information to take him down.

Super weak ending, Hugh Grant is super annoying. Thought he had gone away for good but was pretty well cast in this role.

Defense lawyer, son and DSuth were fantastic. Not usually a Kidmann fan but she was pretty solid.

Maybe I missed someone mentioning it, but when Kidman asked her "son" if he wanted the family to be together, he asked "What do you want"?

If he'd have said yes, then I think Kidman saves him. Because the kid was noncommittal, she took that as approval to fry the husband. That's when she called the friend who reached out to the prosecutor.

To firm up the possibility of Miguel's father being the murderer since his alibi hinged on him being home. If Miguel didn't see him between 9pm and 6:30am, he had time to do it.

It just showed that the victim was a bit crazy herself. And her pushing herself into Jonathan's life, taking control away from him, etc. led him to kill her.

Just finished this. Glad I had some of the same reactions to y’all folks. The ending was very meh after a wild ride. Kinda wish a crazier twist would have happened near the end. Also I found Kidman to be incredibly annoying throughout the show. Her character just seemed so dumb for being a PHD holder from Harvard. Maybe this is nitpicking but there is something Kidman does with her lower jaw that looks so odd to me lol
