The Star Wars Movies Never Did Darth Vader Justice

The prequels are the only movies in the franchise that don’t need to be completely redone but Episodes 4-9 all just not great movies. Vader has some of the most badass and savage stories of any villain ever but technology of that era didn’t allow Lucas to get into it much. Disney should consider remaking 4,5, and 6 or should maybe consider a story line the fills the gap between the end of episode 3 and beginning of 4.
They are completely missing an opportunity to showcase some savage Vader kills. Please don’t have Kathy Kennedy write it. The woman made Kyle Ren the ultimate SIMP.

I think A Vader movie/show between the prequels and original trilogy would be cool.
The prequels are basically a Vader original story, and he’s the established villain in the original trilogy, but a movie about him just being a badass and taking over the universe with the emperor would be cool.

Absolutely not. Do not touch that wonderful trilogy.

I would likely support a Darth Vader movie set between ROTS and ANH.

I’d rather a new Vader movie set between episodes 3 and 4 when he was hunting down remaining jedi and the empire was taking control of the galaxy. Episodes 4-6 are classics and should never be remade. Though this fan edit of Vader vs Obi Wan in ANH is pretty cool LINK

There's a decent fan edit series out there called Vader that takes place after Episode 3. The first Vader episode was released in 2018, and after looking it up to share here I just noticed that the second episode was released 3 months ago. I first found out about the first video from a thread on this board.
Vader Episode I: Shards of the Past
Vader Episode 2: Mace Windu Returns

This idea is insanity.

Rogue One certainly did.

I'm open minded to people's opinions but no way you are saying this about ESB. Plus the Vader stories all added much after he produced these movies. Filoni has thrived on good story lines and filling in gaps. R2 knowing what was going on the whole time wasn't even a concept when the movies first came out

They gave us the finale of said movie in the last ten minutes of Rogue One.

The Vader comics show Vader after Episode IV looking for the one who destroyed the Death Star and that dude is a badass.

Nice troll otherwise.

Showing a character like Vader too much destroys the gravitas and mystique behind the character. Too much and you're struggling to maintain that coolness and badassery.
I think they had exactly the right amount of him in the original trilogy. He's still the best villain Star Wars ever produced, and is definitely in the top 10 fictional villains of all time.

Agree will all of that. I fear they would take too many liberties for the sake of the entertainment. Something as simple as overuse of his lightsaber would be exactly something they would do. He pretty much used it against an opponent using a lightsaber. Otherwise he was powerful enough to deal with blasters or had the First Legion. Now a First Legion show would be bad arse. The storm trooper perspective of hunting down Jedi with Vader sprinkled in would be great

This. Showing too much Vader is like that one time Lost spent an entire episode on Jacob and the Man in Black's backstory. No one gives a shite about all that. Keep the mystique.
