Episode 4
"A Better Man" - The Magus team meets one of Emmet's colleagues, who disappeared six months ago, and discovers that he's been the victim of a mystical curse, which is a matter of life or death. When the others plan to leave and continue the mission, Lincoln must face this challenge and be the moral compass.

loved last weeks episode hope this one is as good

Yea, decent episode. I don't like this morality theme they're starting to go with to be honest. The producer gives himself up to save the group and gets spared, Jonas hangs himself to save the group and gets spared.

SPOILER ALERT..........

So they weren't after Joanas, they were after his phone? BTW, I really like this show.

SPOLIER

The phone captured the spirit when he recorded the guy dieing. When Jonas surrendered /repented/whatever, the spirit was released.

Thirdly, if we're to assume that the boat siege and the "AJ under the tree" scene took place at the same/similar time, then how would the Morcegos near AJ suddenly know to save him rather than kill him? I thought that was kinda stupid.

AJ going under the tree was a selfless act. He faced his worst fear to help the others.

Makes enough sense I guess.

And yeah, I agree on the whole moral thing. Didn't like Jonas living at all, though I guess it does give them one more cameraman to film shite, which is good for a show built like this one.

I guess the whole "magic" thing in the jungle is a fair magic? As in as long as you try to be a good person, you'll be okay. Or if you atone for your mistakes, you will be okay. shite like that.

AJ under the tree is the best scene of the series so far.

Probably will continue to be the best scene until the blond gets naked.

I liked the episode last night though it wasn't too climactic and nothing happened aside from them reviewing the tapes and whatnot. Interested to see what the deal is with the whole military base kind of thing. Hopefully in the last episode or two they'll wrap things up pretty nicely and give some closure on most of it. If that happens, I'll be happy with having invested a few weeks into the show.

I thought it was one of the better episodes so far - might eve nbe my favorite to date.

Even with it jsut being all "tapes" I liked how we fianlly learned about Emmitt and got to actually see him on screen for the majority of the show.

There were too many instances, when he was alone, that camera angles were continually changing. He could not possibly have filmed from so many different angles by himself. Even after the natives picked him up, supposedly one of them kept filming for the sake of American television viewers.

I'm going to just throw this out there. It's an opinion, and not fact.

At the beginning of every show, words on the screen say, "This is the footage they left behind"

I don't think this refers to Dr Emmit, but to the new people on the Magnus. Does that mean they are all missing/dead as well? Otherwise, it would have said something like, "this is the footage they found". Right?

I like the show. It's keeping me interested for the most part, and the episodes always leave me waiting for next week. (I never watch the previews for the following week on any show; I want to be surprised, and they usually show too much)

I usually don't either but I saw the one for this weeks and they showed the military base destroyed and abandoned. I hate when they give things like that away in the preview

They showed that at the end of the episode - it wasnt a preview.

The last few minutes of the episode was them hikinh through the jungle to find the base. When they got there it was abandoned and run down.
