Just started on CMT.

I find this movie infinitely rewatchable.

Pain heals. Chicks dig scars. Glory lasts forever.

Great underdog comedy movie.

Also, this doesn't hurt:

Watching now, wife walks in and says" how many times you going to watch this movie ". Me, as many times as it takes for Falco to win it all.

I love how selective Gene Hackman is with his movie roles and then this one comes along....

Definitely one of my cable tv favorites. Up there with Major League as one of the best sports movies and comedies. This movie shouldn't work. It should be this cheesy, bloated, foolish thing, yet it does. Why? Because it's wiry.

Varsity Blues.

They're way different in what they're going for

Varsity Blues has some tension built up and some dramatic aspects. Voigt is an a-hole that causes mental and physical harm to his HS players. It's got some hilarious parts and characters, but it's more of a comedy/drama.

Replacements is ally comedy. Even the serious moments have hilarious moments in them...like the "What are you scared of"
