Episode 7 convinced me he is likely to F over Vic once he’s not needed. He obviously cares only about himself and can justify any decision as long as he thinks it’s beneficial to him.

Just can’t see Vic devolving enough to continue to be his right hand man. He’s going to refuse or order or something (probably after saving Oz’s hide) and that’ll be the end of him.

Yeah I definitely feel like things are on a collision course with Vic and it isn't going to end well for him. Bummer bc he's so likeable. But after he killed Squid or Squib or whatever his name was, his fate was sealed. No going back to being a good guy and I just don't see him going full bad guy. Ergo - probably not going to be a happy ending for our boy.

Great series. I think the ending was a C+ but the series is still a solid A for me. This is how you set up a supervillain

*Spoilers

I knew it was coming for Vic. Oz is just irredeemable and a bit crazy himself, you cant let a Batman villian have some kind of redemption arc. Sofia got it raw...but glad they didnt off her. It seems that there is gonna be an Arkham breakout in Batman 2 and maybe Sofia joins the fray

You got Frances in her own personal hell, Oz gone full crazy, Sofia in a fate almost worse than death, but with the door open for a big part in the movie.

That was a seriously dark hour of TV. That is how you build a super villain. Poor Vic but I knew that was coming, no way he lets someone see him that vulnerable

Great final scene with the whore cosplaying as his mom.

Definitely called Vic's end once i saw them alone outside.

What do you think Selena wrote to Sophia?

I enjoyed this much more than I thought I would. At first it looked like they wanted him to be a sympathetic character. I fell for it. But in the end, he is a famous villain so he has to be pretty damn bad. I was upset about his last murder shown tonight but I guess it makes sense. I thought for sure Eve was gonna get it for ratting him out. But now she is just a surrogate mom character.

That was an incredible finale to an all time great season of television . A show about the fricking penguin who would've guessed?

I loved this show. I gave my closest friends my full seal of approval a few episodes back. It really delivered.

I never even saw The Batman movie until couple weeks ago before starting episode 1.

I understand it’s a spoilers allowed thread.

But spoilers:

I think we all knew Vic wasn’t making it. They had to create a super super villain. I thought he would likely pop him from behind like George and Lenny. But he went for choke and strangle and talked to him the entire time and told him that he was a good kid. That was an intense scene that took it up couple more notches.

Really great show and season

Early on I thought this show would may make you root for the penguin…but those last few episodes did away with any notions of him being an anti-hero type

Btw minor note, but the camera shot when the crooked cop gets blown away after putting the drops in his eyes was fantastic.

Minor note #2. Ferrell and Milioti deserve all the praise but how about a nod to the actress playing Frances, she was great all season but stole the show in the finale. She can act

And everyone in the show kept saying how he can't be trusted and yet I started to like him

New interview with Farrell
quote:

What’s the latest on The Batman Part II?

I haven’t even read a script yet.

Is there anything you would like to eventually experience with this character?

Not really. I certainly don’t expect anything. I signed up for three Batman films, but I didn’t know if I’d be in the second film. Matt Reeves is a brilliant writer and an extraordinary filmmaker, and what I’m most excited-slash-nervous about in the second film is not what Oz does — or what predicaments he finds himself in, or what moments of success he gets to experience — but what his voice is. How is his personality? It was forming and changing in the limited series, and, by the end of the eight episodes, it’s concretized into something else. There is a degree of almost delusion psychopathy present in the last scene. So how is that taken up in the second film? I was told I have five or six scenes. I don’t have any hopes or any expectations. I’m really an open book, and that’s the way I get excited by shite or not. I think sometimes actors, if they have a career that has a certain length of time, they sometimes get to make too many decisions. Which isn’t to say I won’t push back or argue or fight in Oz’s corner — I do believe I know him better than anyone now.

The lighting and camera focus on Ozs face while he's strangling vic. That's a fookin villain.

Im not a comic nerd so finding out catwoman is sofias half sister was pretty cool.

Poor momma crying probably because shes in an existential hell she can't escape from, and of course Oz takes it as her being happy.

Now that I think about it I guess the other movie(s)with catwoman did have her trying to investigate falcone and suspecting him to be her father.

That's from The Batman movie, not the comics. My wife's watched The Batman probably half a dozen times, I had to remind her that Selina was revealed to have been Carmine's daughter.

Loved that this series that was intentionally ignoring the existence of Batman, wrapped up with two intensely strong reminders that all of this is a part of that larger Batman universe.

Bravo. What a great experience from Ep 1 to the finale.

Amazing writing, phenomenal casting and acting.

This show should clean up come awards season.
