it's just Toriyama re-doing GT his way when the story arc sucked to begin with.

Yeah, I don't get it either. Nobody really wants this. They want more Super. Don't understand putting all the resources into this project.

It's just to celebrate the 40th year of Dragon Ball manga. I'll reserve judgment on Daima until we see and know more. We'll get the continuation of Super eventually.

My guess is they want to do the Black Frieza arc in the magna first before animating it. Or whatever arc comes after the Super Hero arc. They do got a bit they can animate right now

I started rewatching DBZ and i made it to the Frieza saga. Man in episode 70 when Frieza approaches Guru but Nail meets him outside. Three Nameks show up but Frieza easily stops and kills them. To me that scene was so powerful and really just gave you a taste of how strong Frieza could be. In the next episode it begins with showing the Nameks body’s and what Frieza could do. Great scene and Fulconers music made the scene even better.

Anybody watching any Daima? Heard it's not very good, but willing to give it a shot. The old Super drops at like 1 am on Saturday night were pretty fun. I guess Crunchyroll is the only place for the new ep drops now that Funimation is no more.

Daima has been… fine? I think? It’s definitely an attempt to harken back to the OG DragonBall and corporate some GT non-canon into the fold which, mileage may vary if you like that or if you prefer the intensity of Z (feels like if Super adapts some of the upcoming manga arcs, it’ll scratch that itch).
Episodes are on Netflix and Hulu (I’ve been watching on Disney+ actually since they’ve been released there earlier).

I've been watching Daima. It's not been bad, but man, I really just wanted a S2 of Super instead.
As mentioned, you can catch it on Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+ on various release schedules. Sounds like the English dub will start airing next month starting with e1, 1 episode per week.

but it seems like we will get another DB movie this year or early next year. Hopefully it is Super and not Daima.

Apparently there are only 3 more eps of Daima. I really can't believe it's this short.
Will be very interesting to see how much of Daima is used going forward since there has been so much DB lore opened up with Daima.
Look, it's not Super, but the past few eps have been decent. Apparently ep 18 next week is going to be very big.

You have to plow through the first 13 or 14 eps. The last few have actually been decent. Not peak Super level, but at least decent.

They're making a one shot goten and trunks, and then it should continue after. Series was just kinda rocked with the death of Toriyama
