The Flight of Dragons. I used IMDB to search words that you suggested might be in it. I've never even heard of it. You just picked an obscure movie if that's it.

ETA: I used the 3 words I knew were in the title and went from there
I google The Flight of and that was the most logical choice.

Well, I was born in 1988, so I don't exactly remember all too much about what was coming on the Disney channel in the late 80's and early 90's.

You didn't lose on a typo, you didn't get it because you didn't follow the clues that strongly hinted that it wasn't "blank of the blank"
And the presence of "of the" in the title was in a different order.
