Saw it in IMAX yesterday in Budapest. I booked it a week ahead as every showing was sold out. It was packed again and when we left there was a line waiting to pack the next showing. People wearing robes and sandals and all

I wasn't planning on seeing the movie because of the Helen and Ellen nonsense. BUT, I'm such a huge fan of Homer and having read both Iliad and The Odyssey as a young teen I didn't want to pass up the IMAX viewing.

I liked the movie, but it wasn't great. I was still put off by "Elliot" page being in it. She's not normal and normalizing that shite for kids is such a bad move. This is a huge blockbuster and to think it won't affect some young kids is naive. I hate that Nolan did this. The Helen thing wasn't as bad with the "500 ships" crack, but again there was just no reason to do it other than DEI and Oscar worthiness. Beyond that, the movie was just hard to get tied into it too much. I didn't feel that emotion I felt when reading about it. shite just happened and it was over quickly, sometimes way too quickly without much explanation or thought. "RUN!" And some of the acting was just bad. My wife who didn't know much of the details of the story at all said the same, "it was ok". And she had no clue about the Helen and Ellen stuff. Maybe two 2.5 hour movies would've been better. Or maybe worse.

If anybody cares, Indy extended showtimes into mid-September for 70mm IMAX.

Young kids probably shouldn’t see this movie.

I guess the popularity of the movie lifts page’s profile so kids could be tangentially more aware.

My issue with the casting is more that the movie didn’t need another side character with real life/past performance baggage, it’s loaded already with that.

A few lesser knowns would have been better in a few roles

Having said that, I loved Wayne Jenkins showing up

105 pages in and Madking still fighting for his life trying to convince people to not like the movie. So weird.

I watch a movie and determine for myself if it's good or not. I couldn't give two shits what a single person on this board rated this movie, I'm going to decide for myself if I like it or not. You and Kige are the ones obsessed with these youtubers and let them influence your thinking. I didn't read a single review or watch a single video about The Odyssey. You're talking about the tyranny of the majority and appealing to the authority in a movie thread and are claiming I am the one with mental problems?
