The Recruit is much better than Night Agent

I watched The Recruit and will continue if more seasons are made, but even in the realm of cinema it still just felt quite a bit unbelievable. Maybe I'm naive but it just seemed like waaaayy too much waaaayy too fast on a green recruit to be sent on their own and entrusted.
I can believe some of the internal politicing but the amount of backstabbing seemed a bit much
Also them not simply going to a doctor for adderal and worrying that much about a drug test seemed comical to me.

That's not encouraging at all. S1 was great, and 2 was okay.

To be fair, he didn't pardon himself facing impeachment and his wife facing treason

Maybe they are trying to predict that this is what Trump will do

Spoilers

The President and First Lady committing massive fraud, money laundering and murder for hire and the resolution is basically a footnote at the end of the episode showing the president pardoned himself and signed a media deal?? The frick kind of resolution is that

I get this and I do somewhat agree.

With that said, after bingeing it this weekend, I enjoyed the season. Its right there with what I like. Its quickly paced, the characters are likeable (even the antagonists), and I don't get too caught up in realism or plot holes. I just watch it for what it is and I am entertained by it.

Season 1 was watchable.

Season 2 was retarded beyond measure.

I didn’t say that S1 was high cinema.

I could excuse the main characters “stupid face” since he was “untrained”.

The ending wasn’t horrible.

The characters’ actions in S2 were just impossible to get over.

The stupidity of the characters was just mind blowing to the point of cringing while watching it.

And the main character always looks like he is confused by a simple math problem.

I watched The Night Agent S3 over the last 2 days. I enjoyed it. I felt the characters were better and there was no Rose. She was insufferable last season. Glad she was not involved this season.

I hate the flashbacks they have for this except for the flashback from 1995. That helped give a better backstory to that character and why he was who he is.

Some of the other flashbacks made no sense other than to have a filler for the episode. Lots of predictable storylines but enough action to keep it interesting.

Sofia in the flashbacks was hot!

Predictions for who the new partner will be?
- Harrington
- Jay
- Adam
- someone new

My guess is Jay since a behind-the-scene tech guy is always valuable to help connect the storyline gaps for the main character.

Just binged over the last two days, enjoyed season 3. New partner will be Jay or Harrington, will not be Adam - can’t have two white guys.
