2/4 is positive?

I'm not. The data already says it is, I'm just articulating why that might be the case in terms of the reviews.

have a hard time believing Inception is the 5th most divisive film ever, especially considering The Dark Knight Rises and Interstellar are far more divisive. I don’t really hear too much of people debating Inception’s quality, while people have gone to town on both sides about Interstellar.

Yea Inception was the one that kinda surprised me, especially considering some other Nolan films like you mentioned, mainly Interstellar

Interstellar finished below the Ghostbusters remake on the T-Meter, which I think even Interstellar haters would say is fricking absurd, and was being graded on a scale if it was as good as “2001 A Space Odyssey”, ie the greatest sci fi movie of all time. It’s way more controversial than Inception.

Yeah it always seemed that most people really liked Inception...despite some criticisms over the praise of the film.

But Interstellar? That was ridiculous fawning after the fact by fans. It's 8.6 on IMDB.

2001 is 8.3.

Critics gave it a lot of rotten reviews. Fans made it out to be the greatest of all-time.

Lol Savages did not suck, primarily because of Hayek.

Glad to see ‘The Counseler’ as well. I enjoyed it.

Same.

I've watched plenty of good, bad, and in between, but just couldn't finish Melancholia. And have no desire to.

I don't see how "it was great" vs "no, it was just really good" is considered divisive.

Exactly. Almost everyone agrees it was at least good. The argument is "does it belong among the best ever?"

With Interstellar, there are people (not me) who seriously argue that it has multiple major flaws tgat detract from the experience and was an overall mediocre film. It's WAY more controversial than almost universally loved Inception.

they graded this based on number of total pages on Tigerdroppings dedicated to each movie, then is there any debate that Batman v Superman would be number 1?

I’m an Interstellar fanboy, but it’s really the end and Matt Damon that seem to bother people about the movie. Matt Damon is clearly miscast and should have instead been played by Brian Cranston. But personally I found the end to be brilliant, but I can see why it would be offputting to people. It’s a deservingly divisive film.

I love that film too, it gets better every time I see it. I do agree that Damon was miscast though. They should've gone with some no name actor. They probably thought it would be so cool that Damon pops up out of nowhere, but it actually backfired on them.
