We were watching last night and when the chip came up my 12 yr old said “Side quest accepted - find the lost chip”
But is he going to find the chip?? It seemed to me that since he struck out with bo katan that he was abandoning finding a second to cover his back and just going straight to Mandolore

The little droids holding up Greef’s cape got me good

Star Wars: Rebels says "Hi". There isn't a one hour long stretch of anything as good as the last two episodes of season 2 anywhere on D+.

I finally made my mother watch those to try and catch her up on star wars. She had dismissed them because they were animated. Afterwards she understood how good they were

Then when Apollo told him to to go to whatever planet he said “side guest planet has been added to your map”
I actually really like this about the series lol. The first season when he brought stuff back to "The Armorer" it was like he was leveling up. That honestly might be the closest to a video game adaption I've seen on a tv show.

I thought Grogu was space tripping with the shadows. The hyper space squid whales seem cool.
Are those things found in any star wars lore? I thought that was awesome. They were moving so slowly but obviously keeping up with the ship...another dimension maybe that only Grogu can see?

They are a major plot point in Rebels

Probably a huge plot point when it comes to looking for Ezra and Thrawn

Welp, I told myself I would finally watch clone wars and rebels. Nice.

I thought the lead pirate dude looked like a plant version of Pizza the Hut.

Did anyone else think the opening scene was a flashback of Mando getting his helmet?
I did at first, especially when the kid was repeating the Armorer's vows and she cut him off before he could repeat "I vow to never remove my mask" as the monster attacked them, which could have been a way of Mando circumventing the need for redemption.

I thought for sure it was a flashback. Like the way they did that.

Episode two and we already get a mythosaur siting. Hot damn!
This episode is wayyyyy better than the premiere. I think Bo Katan is a believer now.

I am calling it now, Grogu is going to force train that mythosaur before it’s all said and done.

Directed by Rachel Morrison. She's an Oscar winning cinematographer and no stranger to Disney since she was the cinematographer for the first "Black Panther." The lady knows how to put a shot together. She also worked with Rick Famuyiwa, which is probably how she got the gig.
Katee Sackhoff acted her fairly nice arse off in this one by going with the restrained "this is where I fricked up" vibe instead of an over the top emotional performance and I think it worked.
After the usual bit of a slow start season premiere this was a big improvement.

I haven't read through all the pages to see if discussed previously.
what the frick were the mandalorians thinking when they shot the giant crocodile with the harpoons with the ropes attached to their arms? As soon as I saw that, I said out loud, "that was dumb" next thing you know, croc is doing a death roll. What was the plan there? you're now attached to a giant crocodile, he's way to massive to restrain with a dozen mandalorians. anyway, that scene bothered me way more than it should have.
