Many in this thread claimed the reason they were gonna quit watching is because Joel was gone. Could just be a coincidence though i guess.

i think this has been my biggest issue with this season. The ellie we are getting in the show is not the same ellie we got in the game. Two completely different characters. The Bella Ramsey one is far inferior.
im not hating on this season as much as some of you guys, but i have been finding it very "meh" and ultimately, disappointing. i still have 3 episodes to go to finish.

I don’t think this season was terrible, but this new phenomenon of putting out 6 or 7 episodes for a season needs to stop.
12 episodes is the standard, I’ll tolerate 10 or give grace with 8, but it’s getting ridiculous.

yeah I hate 7 episodes but in this case maybe they needed the break to redirect Ellie's direction because I hate them making her incompetent

This thread is frustrating to me because I end up defending a show I think is mostly bad against arguments that are dumb.

The show established he was taking it easy on her. Women arent gonna beat trained mma guys with jiu jitsu, but they can beat untrained guys. There are many issues with ellie this season, but this is one of the few nitpicks that doesnt hold up.

Good lord why do I continue to watch this show. Yeah, I know it's on me, but you get hooked on a series and hope for more.
Let's see..
(of course its' always going to be about Ms. Potato Head)..
Of course, Ellie's gonna do 2 v 6 against the Wolves, 'cause you know, she's Ellie.
Of course, Ellie finds a tiny rowboat in typhoon conditions, and of course it starts after a couple of cranks.
Of course, Ellie heads to the Aquarium and gets swamped by a tsunami and survives.
Of course, Ellie swims miles in what is 40+ degree water (I was just there), against waves and currents and makes it to Scar Island or wherever.
Of course, Ellie doesn't get gutted at the hands of the Seraphites at the very last moment.
Of course, Ellie kills Owen and Mel in the aquarium with one bullet.
Of course, Ellie runs into Abby at the very last part of the episode, but Abby shoots Jesse in the head at the end and Tommy gets hurt.

Anybody that has rolled a significant amount at a jiu jitsu gym has most likely been tapped by a chick at least once.

Never, and I trained with some damn good guys and gals back pre Katrina before our gym took refugees.
Your video shows none of them fighting back, just letting her jump on them and put them in a guillotine without trying to get out. Hell anyone can be choked out like that
