Loved both of these shows. Watched Last Kingdom first then watched Vikings. Both got me going into a deep dive in learning about the period of history.
All that said, Vikings was better than Last Kingdom. I even liked Vikings:Valhalla and wished there would have been another historical drama continuing the story.
After those three series I watched Black Sails. Whoa...

I've been introducing my wife to these and we have completed both Vikings shows and we're currently on The Last Kingdom, season 2. Black Sails next is a good idea.
