People are all over the place on this except for critics - which have either gone soft or don't want to feel the wrath of Disney freezing them out of their screenings in the future.

IMDb scores are always high when a movie first comes out and damn near every movie gets an A or B on cinemascore. I’ve never seen any movie get a C or D, but I did see mother! get an F
What about the 57 audience score on RT?

I’ll put it this way: I hate Man of Steel more than Batman V Superman. BvS I at least prepared myself for years on it being a piece of shite, and enjoyed that my rage towards the project was justified.
MoS though, I was so excited that we were finally going to see Superman properly brought to the big screen. I was ecstatic going into the theater. And then I saw the movie and was totally blindsighted not believing the obliviousness of it, particularly the final battle when hundreds of thousands were dying and Snyder was treating this as a triumphant rather than horrifying moment.
So yeah, the Last Jedi is clearly better than those two, but it’s the most disappointed I’ve been in a film since watching Man of Steel. So relatively speaking, I hate this movie more than Batman V Superman.
