the theranos subreddit is pretty cool. Its only 1 page long, scroll down to the bottom, posts are 3 years old, Theranos is ground breaking.
slowly scroll up and you start to see cracks, experts in that field pointing out major issues
The closer you get to the top employees, ex employees, people who were being recruited....start popping up and revealing behind the curtain
till today....
its a quick read (for a subreddit) and you can watch the story unfold
ETA r/Theranos

The hbo documentary was fantastic. I will def read that reddit thread. It’s a spectacularly epic hoax

Listen to the podcast
It’s even better than the doc.

It totally amazes me that people that are supposed to be intelligent throw large amounts of money with no proof that the product worked. Also that Walgreens signed contracts for 100’s of units. Her board of directors is also a who’s who.
My question is when is she going to jail, ala The Stanford Group. Fraud. Is fraud.

That voice is one of the strangest I've heard from a woman not connected to copious amounts of Hormone treatments, Vodka and Lucky Strikes.

What bothered me the most is that I could never tell if she's kind of hot. I mean the whole voice thing was definitely a turn off, but the body looked like it had potential. Unfortunately the turtle neck really kept everything covered up, and left everything to the imagination

I'm convinced there's more to the story than we even know today. You look at who was on her board, who invested, all the political connections, and I'm convinced there's even more to what we've been told. Perhaps I'm too big of a conspiracy theorist and I understand leveraging the network she grew up with, but I just doubt this gal in her early 20s is essentially the greatest networker of all-time. Hell she's having dinner with Obama and the Clintons and what seems like every prominent government official around the country.
Also, this "cute girl" narrative has to stop. That girl has the weirdest features I've ever seen, straight-up cartoonish and creepy. Her crazy eyes score is 11/10 and how wide and round her cheeks and jaw are is creepy as hell to me. Don't even get me started on the voice.
Only thing attractive about her was her personal valuation, before you found out it was all a big hoax.

She has a Robert Ebert neck so... not hawt

What was the deal with the guy who had a beard covering left side of his face but nothing on the right ?
If you could only grow half a beard wouldn't you be better off with no beard at all?

It was a good doc. I remember hearing about all the fallout on the news. She checked all the boxes for what the media were looking for in a female CEO. I just couldn’t get over how crazy she looked/sounded and the fact that she wore black turtlenecks all the time trying to look like Steve Jobs.. what a frickin hack. The fact that she got all these smart and successful men to give her money is mind blowing. Hell, she even got that tenured scientist from Stanford to come work for her.

She must make one hell of a sandwich

fascinating. That 'voice' so odd. Complete sociopath. If her lies didn't potentially hurt innocent people, I would have found it even more hilarious how she took those from silicon valley for a ride.

I'm pretty sure she doesn't own a razor.
Arm pits, legs and Monkey look like a Chia-Pet!
Why isn't this bitch in PRISON???

So you don’t know for sure and the mystery remains....is she kind of hot?

What I found fascinating is how the media and others continued to fawn over her despite the fact that, after more than a decade, she still had not produced a working model.
I agree, she's weird as frick and may well have been driven by delusions of grandeur.
Every exec at Walgreens who signed off on their collaboration should have been fired.
The female medical instructor at Stanford seemed to have Holmes' number. She may have been the only person not fooled by the charade.

I think that’s because she wasn’t an old, rich, white dude who wanted to have sex with Elizabeth Holmes. Can’t be just a coincidence that she’s the only one who looked at it objectively.

To be fair, this was touted as game changing tech. The applications were limitless. Fear of missing out got the best of people.
