Go ahead and explain it then. What's so different about it.
No, if you want to know, get off your lazy arse and go read the dumb books yourself. One thing you'll find out is the rigidity to order and lack of real love is one of the main things that doomed the Jedi to being wiped out. Obi-wan and even Yoda were guilty of this and only after it was all over did they realize how wrong they'd been. That's why the Obi-wan of the prequels is so different from the Obi-Wan in his old age in the original trilogy. He'd matured and changed with age, Of course I'm sure you think that's stupid as well.

I hope you're not a salesman. Because you suck at sales.

I never find character growth stupid

Then why do you fail to see it in Obi-wan? Is it because they told the story basically backwards so you could not wrap your mind around the fact we saw the finial mature character before meeting the young and immature one?

Are you trying to say that people who don't like the prequel trilogy are too dumb to be able to place the events before the original trilogy?
The prequels fricking sucked, and a set of books don't make those 3 prequel movies any better. It means that there is perhaps a decent set of books (which I haven't read and don't intend to) and the worst trilogy I've ever seen.

The last three pages of this thread is like a goddamned Time/Life ad from the mid 80's.

Your premise for revealing force is straight out of Legend of Korra!

The books aren't cannon. The books may as well be alternate universe Star Wars.

Well, shite, you keep saying "read the books", and when I say that's not only not a valid argument, but also the ones I have read about the prequels are stupid as hell, then you're just being a broken record and stupid a-hole. Please use a different argument. I have plenty aside from Anakin and Obi Wan's relationship sucking.

Yeah, it's where I got the idea, but I started thinking about it and it's the only thing it really could be and that makes sense. Plus Avatar: The Last Airbender really is the animated version of Star Wars that actually pulls off the trilogy perfectly. Why wouldn't they continue to follow the same formula in their respected sequels?

It is just a movie people. No need to get so worked up.

Empire was destroyed
I'm saying this as someone who has very little knowledge of the plot and has only watched the trailers and the few things JJ has shown at conferences. This is all purely speculation on my part:
I don't see how we can think that the Empire was destroyed after ROTJ based on the trailers. Having completely redesigned and manufactured Star Destroyers alone tells us whatever remnants of the Empire that are left are operating at a very high level. I don't know how all of that fits in with the scenes of people celebrating on the different planets that were added to the end of later editions of ROTJ. Again, based on the trailers alone which is all I know or want to know, all of the infrastructure suggested with what we see from the bad guys makes it look like the Empire didn't really go away. We'll know Drc 18th.

So if Rey IS Han and Leia's daughter why would they have sent her away/hidden that fact if the Empire was destroyed before having her? I guess that will be revealed in time.
Well the EU led us to believe the Empire collapsed over time but with Disney wiping that out it looks like the Empire never did go away. Instead they just simply reorganized into this First Order organization.
