I actually laughed watching Joe directing Micah on the camera scene.
Stabbing a person is a very violent attack.
How come FBI HCIC gets stabbed in the garage, and not a sound escapes? This happens a lot on this show and in movies in general. There would definitely be screaming and a violent struggle going on there.
And, of course Claire's wife is alive.
The Following. Of course. She might even be in the cult if the show goes on long enough.

I've actually heard that it's impossible to scream when getting stabbed, and that most movies are inaccurate in this respect.

And not one drop of blood was on the garage floor when the FBI and paramedics arrived.

I think there was a little tiny spot underneath her.
She evidently stopped bleeding at a certain point.
She must be made of the same stuff Claire and Ryan are, that can survive deadly stabbings.
Has someone here been stabbed and can verify that you can't scream while being stabbed? Honest question. I don't know.
Maybe that's why no one heard Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman being hacked to death by OJ. Er, I mean, the "real" killers.

Probably early members of Joe Carroll's cult.

So this Jana chick had clearance to all of the HCIC's FBI info but did not know that Claire was alive?
And I guess the FBI doesn't ever require a password change or anything. I have to change mine at work every damn month for some stupid reason

The scene tonight in the restaurant was bizarre even by this shows standards. Instead of controlling the situation and addressing the killer with a gum to a woman's head, why does Ryan Hardy take the time to interrogate the young female cult member about Joe's whereabouts? WTF? Was that really the moment to seek this info?
What was he going to do even if she supplied direct GPS coordinates to him? Turn and leave the restaurant? Get the girl out of harm's way and then question her.
But as usual Ryan screws up and is hailed an hero for his incompetence.

Remember in S1 they said that nobody had clearance for the Witness Protection group but for a few? And Weston (sp?) had clearance and nobody else did?

This was my beef with last night as well.
Get the girl who dropped her weapon and is betraying the cult member...away from the cult member first. Then interrogate her.
This was surprisingly one of the only beefs with the show last night. I must be getting brain washed into the cult.

You're correct, it was a knife he was holding.

I loved the moment where Ryan had the brilliant insight that no one else in the FBI thought of to look for a cult interested in blood sacrifice. The cult was only leaving notes about blood at every murder scene, no way the FBI would have ever made that connection.
Also love how in real life the NSA can listen to all of our phone calls, but in the world of The Following a guy on a cell phone at a cult compound in the middle of a forest has the technology available to him to completely confuse the NSA's tracking software. I guess the NSA is just as incompetent as the FBI.

Yeah, it appears now more then ever, that the FBI simply stands around with their thumbs up their asses waiting on direction from Ryan.
"Oh, look for cults in the area? Oh, cool. Ok."

Yeah serial killers always have the best technology. :jealous:

Wow, no Following talk from last night.
I am happily nostalgic that the "ol' Ryan Hardy going it alone down a dark basement with serial killers waiting for him" is back.
Damn the FBI and their personnel for backup.
I'm Ryan Hardy dammit. I got this. Oops.

It's not like they had an entire SWAT team for backup there or anything. Hey Mike, let's leave all the guys with machine guns behind and each take a stairwell. Should be fun.
And then the hired gun guy is able to sneak up on Ryan and shoot him in the back of the head. He was easier picking than those US Marshals guarding the prisoner. Wait, you're saying he didn't shoot Ryan but tried to hold him at gunpoint so the crazy twin guy could taunt him? What kind of mercenary would be that stupid? I don't believe you.

One of the stupidest moves of many stupid moves by Ryan and Mike on this show.
And also, didn't Ryan already call ahead that they were heading to the marketplace? Before he even got into the whole 'held at gunpoint for the 1,000th time'.
How come they didn't have officers over there and have it locked down?

Extras are like red shirts on Star Trek. Meant to be killed.
The star is always held at gunpoint or tied up in order to escape. Its the law.
These cultists, and now mercenaries, are playing nice with Ryan, while he's basically just trying to kill them.
Oh and how does Ruby know Lily Gray's son? And how to look his number up in the online classifieds in a split second like that? WTF?

This bothered me in the hospital too. Shots fired, yet the other floors were operating as normal.

I assumed she learned this from Joe. They were all friendly, so they were using the same method.

My favorite from last night was the scene when breaking out the brother from the hospital. The FBI calls in the lockdown on the prisoner, the call goes to the nurse. Nurse gives the phone to Marshall, but of course he has trouble understanding "Lock down the prisoner, they're trying to break him out" and has to have it repeated as the bad guys are approaching.
So he gets word of the bad guys and is immediately greeted by 2 people who arent supposed to be there. Obviously the guns get drawn by all right? Nah, lets question them politely first because chances are they just wandered into this heavily secured area where nobody's supposed to be on accident.

What's the deal with the escape hatch to a farmer's market?
This hospital must've been built on top of Alcatraz.
