This show is getting ripped apart on the IMDB forum

As it should. I guess I shouldn't be surprised though, I mean the shows creator/producer is Kevin Williamson. If you have ever seen a Scream movie, you know how infuriatingly maddening his plot lines can be.

It is. It's a clever parody of the genre that functions as its own movie. I love it.

I realize that. Scream was good and made for a good storyline in the teen horror genre. But it became too contrived and focused more on surprising and scaring the moviegoer, rather than come up with good plots as the franchise went forward. Not too dissimilar from what is going on right now with this show.

Well I would never defend the franchise. I just love the original.

I would defend Scream and Scream 2. Scream was an incredible parody/satire of the genre while Scream 2 is just an excellent slasher movie that doesn't try to be anything else.

Scream 3 was mediocre and Scream 4 was about average.

Haven't read the whole thread (on mobile) but I have watched from the beginning. I have suspended disbelief as much as possible, but this recent show was just ridiculous. Its like Prison Break on steroids. Of course, I kept watching PB haha, but not sure I will go too much further with this one. I can only imagine a fbi agent or even a cop watching this show and just wanting to strangle the creators/writers.

Show's utterly ridiculous and the two guys escaping the surrounded house (while one of them has been stabbed multiple times in the stomach) made me want to throw something through the TV.

That being said, it's not boring and - at least for me - the hour passes really quickly. So I'll keep watching it and just hope it evens itself back out again.

These people escaping and killing/kidnapping people under FBI custody is already worse than attacks on CTU.

how the CRAP did Kevin Bacon not just shoot out the tires on the Explorer. Any half witted person with a law enforcement background would have thought to do that so Emma wouldn't get away. Instead he said, well hell my pacemaker is giving me fits and she used Joey as a shield, I guess I am done for.

Because they read this post the other day

Or when Kevin Bacon, who up to this point has become weak and out of breath at the slightest physical activity, was able to sprint a half mile from one house to the other without any ill effects from his pacemaker

Yes. Even though he got one shot off killing the deputy, and THEN he felt the effects of the pacemaker

I finally caught up with this show on my DVR. I can't decide what to think. It requires a tremendous amount of suspension of belief, but I can't say I'm not entertained.

I watch tv to be entertained primarily, so I'll stick with it. That being said, I really wish they would tighten up the writing to at least Expendables "suspension of belief" levels.
