Actually, looking at the comic images, Solovar is only white on the Justice League cartoon. He's dark-skinned in the comics and wears a suit.

I liked how they hinted that Solovar was willing to work with Barry.

The only thing I wished they would've flushed out a little more clearly is how Grodd stole power from Solovor. Solovor quickly got his power back by just showing up and beating Grodd in a fight.

That one is obvious. Grodd took over his mind (notice that Solovar is wearing a helmet when he fights Grodd in Central City)
