Just re watched it. I forgot how awful the pacing is it takes half the season to even get the heroes together. Also, does anyone else think they failed in running the narrative through the worst actor and least interesting hero of the 4?

It's another "I don't understand how they struggled to write this" moment in entertainment.
Batman vs. Superman
Star Wars: The Last Jedi
The Defenders
...all should be super easy in the story telling department.

The best thing about this show was that it was only 8 episodes. The Daredevil fight in the office was ok. That's about it.

I haven't watched it, but will one day. I've watched most of the other Marvel Netflix shows, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and half of Luke Cage. After they killed off Cottonmouth halfway through the first season, I lost interest. Haven't gotten to Punisher yet.
I do have one question though. Do you have to watch The Defenders in order to understand where the characters are in their individual shows? The new season of Jessica Jones just came out and was wondering if anything happened to her in The Defenders that would affect her character going forward.

No. I just binged the new season of JJ and it's like the Defenders didn't even happen. You should definitely watch the punisher though. It's my favorite of the Netflix marvel series

I don't think it impacts Jessica Jones much if any. I'm 3 episodes in and haven't seen it, all the past references are to season 1 and Killgrave. Based on the source comics there are some crossover story lines for Iron Fist and Luke Cage and Iron Fist and Dare Devil. So it might be referenced in those just in how they got together. But they've typically done a good job of making these stand well on their own despite the integration.
Also, saw an article yesterday where Kristen Ritter mentioned there may not be a Defenders 2. It sounds like there may have never been plans for it beyond the 1st one, which seeing how Season 1 was underwhelming, it's kind of a relief. I can't believe how badly they blew this.

I've tried to catch up on Marvel and it has been very difficult.
Season 2 Daredevil wasn't as good as 1. God I hated Electra.
Luke Cage could have been over in 4 episodes. The plot at the end was ridiculously bad. I like the actor but there really was a minimal plot stretched way the hell out.
Iron Fist, I've been unable to finish it. I think I got to about 11 and just didn't care. Maybe I'll finish it.
Defenders - Not sure if I have enough interest to start this thing.
I do want to get around to Punisher and Jessica Season 2.
Can I skip Defenders and watch JJ2 without being lost?

Defenders shat the bed hard on what should have been a dunk.
Daredevil writers are probably pulling their hair at the pit being used for such nonsense and fights after the office being nonsense.
Going forward we'll really only see the consequences in Daredevil 3 as Iron Fist hijacked his storylines in Defenders and we'll see the fruition of the ending there.

Yes. JJ season two acts as if the Defenders never happened. None of them show up in the season

I just find the actor who plays Loras Tyrell and Iron Fist to be awful

So far, I think the Punisher has been the best netflix marvel show yet.

I’m still not finished with The Punisher and I started it when it came out. It’s boring me to death. I don’t like any of the characters not named Frank Castle.

You figure out who the main villain is by episode 6 and it leaves no doubt.
