I believe the price of being healed by the Lazaruz Pit is to take over the League of Shadow. In all of the comics dealing with Ra's and the LOS to become the new leader of the LOS, Batman has to kill someone. It could be Bane.

I seriously doubt the League of Shadows has reformed any whatsoever. This is their third strike on Gotham, with Bane leading the forces and Talia being in charge of the organization.

5) Batman goes back, defeats (and KILLS Bane), and retires, handing over Batman, and his fortune as Wayne, to John Blake (JGL's character).

Batman will not kill Bane.

Wish I wouldn't of read that cause that plot sounds very very plausible.

Sorry. I did not post a spoiler warning because this is pure speculation on my part.

Here's where I don't think that is the case. While Bane may have his origins in the LOS, I don't think he's a current member in the film for this reason. Ra's (and Talia) would not "share" power with just anyone, and certainly not someone as brilliant (but psychotic) as Bane. The LOS "restores" ORDER, and then withdraws into the shadows for when it is needed to again "restore the balance." This does not appear to be Bane's intent...he seems more interested in domination and control with an iron hand. Such an overt power grab on a permanent basis seems anathema to the LOS.

Batman will not kill Bane.

Recall that Batman refused to kill the Joker at the end of TDKR (clinging to his "one rule"). That said, he learned a hard lesson of what clinging to his rule would mean (Rachal's death, Harvey's destruction, his own exile). In order to save Gotham, he will break that rule and, because he has, he will hand over the cowl to someone else. Abandoning the mask that the criminals fear.

There's nothing to indicate Bane is power hungry. He may just want to watch the world burn into ashes and for a new one to rise. I feel extremely confident Talia and Bane are currently allied.

Batman has learned this lesson the hard way in the comics and hasn't deliberately murdered anyone recently in the continuity. For instance Joker has killed Jason Todd and broken Barbara's back in the comics (as well as killed another person close to Batman in AC, which tries to follow the same continuity), and he still doesn't kill the Joker and offers to save him. Batman killing Bane outright would make me furious. Have Talia kill him if he takes it a step further than she intended and tries to completely take control for himself.

It's gonna be damned interesting. Planning on the midnight IMAX showing.

My 10 y/o son and I went to the HP-DH2 midnight premiere and he's hooked.

Completely missed that.

for people wondering if Nolan would fix bane's voice.

quote:

There was plenty to like, but there was some agreement that the weakest aspect was trying to make out what Bane (Tom Hardy) was saying. The same complaint was lodged against the six-minute prologue, but it didn’t seem like it would be a big deal to fix the problem. Presumably, Christopher Nolan would hear the outcry, rework the ADR for Bane’s voice, and everyone would be happy. Unfortunately, THR is reporting that Nolan is pretty okay with the current sound mix. Sources at Warner Bros. say that the studio would like for Nolan to clarify the villain’s dialogue, but Nolan is using his independence “to alter the sound slightly, not to rework it completely.” Nolan voiced a similar opinion following the premiere of the six-minute prologue when he told THR “that it was OK for a moviegoer not to understand what was said at times, as long as the overall idea was conveyed.”

I think the problem with the dialogue in the prologue was mostly caused by the action going on around it. You had machine guns going off, people were screaming and groaning, and Hans Zimmer's score was pounding away in the background. I think if they dial down the ambient noise it won't be a problem.

I went to IMAX here in Nashville for MI:4 (good movie by the way) and they showed the prologue.

It was alright and way louder than the loudest parts of MI:4. I couldn't understand most of what Bane was saying though, just a word here and there. Hopefully they'll get that fixed before the film is released.

Full IMAX is a great movie going experience. The full IMAX portions of MI:4 were great and there will be even more in DKR. I'll be there for sure.

Bane isn't that kind of character. Bane's motivations are to defeat Batman to prove his superiority over the Caped Crusader and the city of Gotham.

Wish there was a true 70mm IMAX in BR/NOLA. That looks awesome.
