Directv fricked me and I only caught the last 20 minutes so I didn't see how both teams got so close but it sounds like they did the shitty old trick of nixing most of the lead for one team then using a stipud arse puzzle.

I also can't believe that we went form a final last season where folks literally required IVs. Was still a hard final I guess, but nothing close to the one that barely saw people even finish.

So be it though, seeing Cara boo hoo was worth it.

Paulie fricked them all. Yeah, and Jordan is now the best player in the game and I don't think it's debatable..

Réunion looks good, too. Cara is going to be on the psycho defensive for her moves. I truly hate her now.

Wonder if Jordan asks Tori to sign a prenup now.

These rules are such BS. The USA team should've been penalized more for cheating in stage 1. Also, I hate when they "time out" on a puzzle and get to proceed. No, you should have to solve the puzzle before you can go on to the next checkpoint. Only giving the UK team a 5 minute head start for winning stage 1 is BS...should've been a bigger lead it wasn't worth breaking down your body for such a slim head start. Also sucks that since they had more weight USA's gurney broke.

Stage 1 was brutal but a complete waste of time. Might as well have not even carried the gurney and got in a good nap on the trail to prep for the next day if the max penalty would be a 5 minute delay in phase 2.

Stage 2 was lame as hell. I didn’t like Leroys game this year but holy shite they completely fricked him. He CRUSHED day 1. That setup was basically saying “Leroy ain’t making it to the final stage”

At least the team US numbers got their final defeat. Wish Tori would’ve been there instead of Dee.

Yeah this was a super poorly conceived challenge Finale.

So your reward for winning the most challenges throughout the season and having a larger team is to carry MORE weight with the same number of people (4) at a time as the other team who get to carry less??? Ridiculous.

The time penalties felt completely made up.

Poor Leroy got hosed.

I want to get back to the good ole days of having a male winner and female winner. Some grueling finale and race. Even if it’s performed in stages and have cumulative times or head starts.

Guys vs guys.
Girls vs girls.
Three guys make finale and compete against each other.
Three girls make finale and compete against each other.
Simple.

I really hope the U.K. isn’t fricked over by some attempt to make things more even. They have earned a huge lead (I assume it’s huge at least).

And why are the Americans only penalized ten minutes when they cheated multiple times? If that’s the case you should just cheat nonstop and then only take the minimum penalty. bullshite.

I agree with Leroy that he busted his arse so hard and Paulie died, but because Paulie put a puzzle (literal puzzle) together faster he gets to move on. At least on the U.K. team everyone, including Dee, pulled their own weight in the final.

Zach’s fury was one of the most entertaining things about the finale. That was great.

Good for U.K. Would’ve been nice for Jordan and Tori to double up and bring home half a mil, but at least they won Jordan’s share.

All in all, good season. I am actually interested in the reunion show for once to see how much everybody dogs Paulie and Cara for running shite and then sucking in the final.

And this final was nowhere near close to the “hardest ever” like they kept saying. It was long, sure. But you never had to really do much alone. It was almost all teamwork. And the puzzles weren’t even hard. I always remember back to the final where they had to look at the campsite and then run to the other campsite and find the differences. That one was brutal. Or when they had to stand on the pillars in fricking Iceland or whatever. Those were hard challenge finals.

I feel like this season lasted half a year.

Total BS that the USA got the same stage 1 penalty as Team UK when they were constantly cheating throughout, but in the end it didn't even matter since UK had already won the stage. All they got was a 5 minute head start regardless of stage 1's margin of victory, the USA could have dropped the gurney and all the weight and walked the whole way leisurely and still ended up with the same result. That's poorly conceived. And Paulie was all boasting about solving the puzzle when it was completely irrelevant. At that point UK was long gone and the margin of win didn't matter.

It sucks for all 4 players cut... especially for Kam, Leroy, and Ashley who were all strong players in stage 1 compared to Paulie, Cara, and Ninja. Sucks for Tori too, but all of UK was pulling their weight and at least Jordan was through.

In the end though, those 5 minutes did matter because no one can solve a damn puzzle.

I'm glad the UK team won, I'm glad they got to pop champagne and celebrate where Cara could hear. That was glorious.

Same. When I saw the preview clips of the reunion I had forgotten Wes was even on this season.

Sucks for Tori but Dee earned it as well. It would have sucked had Dee missed out on prize money. Tori still gets Jordan's share so it all worked out.

Proud of the UK team.

I get why they have time limits, but I agree that if you are gonna have something to solve, you should have to solve it before you move on.

I was hoping that some of the champagne would get on her from them slinging it all over the place.

As much as I hate Paulie this season, and as embarrassing as that final was for him, I think if he ever does a season without Cara (or without being together with her) I would like him a lot more.

Paulie is just a competitive guy... but he seems like an honorable loser as well. The first thing he did when he got to the yacht was congratulate Team UK, including Jordan.

He's all tv talk. Even when he ws "feuding" with Kyle you could tell he actually liked him.

Cara is also a total drag on him so he's always having to get into it with others. If course, it also keeps both of them relevant in the show and guarantees tons of face time.

I think neither are on next season. I would like to see a season of Paulie without his lame arse girl squad snd Cara and see where he goes.

Jordan and Paulie paired together in a Rivals season would be pretty hard to beat.

Until Paulie gasses out in the finals.

Well, then it will all be equalized, so you're right, they'd be really hard to beat.

Where did the USA team 10 minute penalty for cheating come into play?

When they completed the 4th lap of stage 1.

They were already behind the UK though, and the advantage for winning stage 1 was just a 5 minute head start on stage 2... so it was completely irrelevant.

It was so satisfying that Paulie’s plan of creating an alliance full of layups finally bit him in the end.

I thought this season overall was great but I think the finale in general was lacking. The solo finales are just much more enjoyable and fair although there should always be a guy and girl winner.

ETA the most shocking thing of the finale was Rogan beating both Tori and Jordan at a puzzle

Rogan really held his own throughout the final.

That actually surprised me, considering his performance in Gibraltar and then never being challenged this season.
