This statement is actually completely inaccurate. Most pedophiles are actually heterosexual not homosexual. Even if they molest a child the same sex as them, they will identify as heterosexual. It almost makes it even more fricked up than it already is.

I don't follow the logic even if you accept the statement as true. "Most priests are homosexuals who molest adolescents." How is that a defense? It's still priests preying sexually on minors.

They were founded by a Jesuit but they’re not run by them or part of the order in any way other then being Catholic.

The media will collectively refer to those priests who molest boys as pedophiles since pedophiles are universally loathed and there is little to no chance of breaking PC protocol by using the term.
On the other hand, homosexuality is to be celebrated, even when it extends to illegal activities with underaged boys. There is zero chance these priests will ever be called homosexuals.
It's not difficult to understand what Bill Donahue was saying even though he would have been well advised to have remained silent on the intentions of a cartoon.

This is what's relevant. You can't excuse it away by saying the priests are homosexuals. It doesn't matter. If it was a 100% heterosexual priest having sex with underage girls would that be better? Is that not still pedophilia and an abuse of one's position of trust and authority?

I don't believe anyone here is trying to make a case that sex with underage girls is better or more understandable than sex with underage boys..
That's not the argument. The nomenclature used to describe these men is the debatable point. These priests are not pedophiles.
If a 34-year-old man has sex with a 16-year-old boy or girl he is not a pedophile. He is a sexual predator.
The American public has been conditioned to accept the word pedophile without .questioning it since the vast majority of these sexual liaisons involve men with boys.
If it were a case of priests having sex with teenage girls the word pedophile would never have come into play.
That's the reality of how the game is played in our society.

No one is celebrating priests screwing anyone, male or female. Being accepting of gays does not mean you are okay with them screwing kids.

Why do people get so touchy and angry whenever someone simply points out the reality that the vast majority of abuse cases we know about involve homosexual predators pursuing young men and boys? Do facts make you sensitive?

The media has transitioned from shouting the word pedophilia to now saying "sex abuse" as a catch-all. Never at any point will they use the word "homosexual" in a negative context.
