re: The Boys Season 2 (Spoilers) Episode 8 “What I Know”

Finally, finished all the graphic novels and caught up on the series. I like that it's a different change of pace between the two. I love how they treat the series in a similar fashion to the Deadpool movies in that they never really take themselves too seriously

Don't know if it's been mentioned in the previous pages, but they already have a spinoff in production.

It may have been the best of the series. Really enjoyed it.

Yeah I knew two things from the comics well before the show because I was interested in what the source material was when they announced that it was going in production.

The first was Starlight’s “welcome to the club” moment which was significantly different in the comics and then the other thing which I’m not going to mention. Other than that, I know frick all other than casting announcements.

I kept thinking Homelander was getting played by Stormfront and might even be in some sort of real danger from her. Then midway through this episode he gets pissed and menacing in his nutty way and for the first time she looked genuinely alarmed.

I enjoy crazy Homelander.

I forgot how much I like Frenchie til this episode, he has been sidelined but he is one of my faves.

MM has to be the most underrated character..Love him..dudes mannerisms etc are on point especially when reacting to the dick around his neck. Lol. His back and forth with Frenchie kinda reminds me of Rush Hour or other buddy cop movies.

Finally, I kinda wish Homelander wouldve threw a curve ball and said frick all that Nazi race bs..be like he is American so even though he doesnt care about people, it would just be cause he is above everybody..but he would still be Pro American and inherently anti Nazi..like a psycho captain america

Yes and no. I think she cares in that she believes he can help her achieve the goals Vought/The Nazis laid out, I believe she was absolutely honest and sincere in that. Now does she genuinely care about him beyond that? If he was shooting blanks she would drop his arse, maybe not abruptly and directly for obvious reasons, but she would move on.

I would guess you break her hands like Kimikos brother since she uses her hands to destroy.

There’s no way he’d be ok about Homefront’s true goal. Either he doesn’t know (which I doubt) or he has his own plan for these potential super troops.

Yeah there’s something more going on there. He obviously knows about the joint and that they are using Compound V, but he probably doesn’t realize that Stormfront is using it as some Aryan Super Saiyan breeding ground (IIRC, none of the “patients” there were minorities).

I think he’s ultimately going to have to pick a side. You can’t have two current members of The Seven teaming up with 3 former members to take on 2 current members of The Seven, one of which you brought on personally and the other who you just has a dick measuring contest with and not pick sides. Especially when you have your own member of The Seven running point for you.

Also, I wonder what The Boys has on Lamplighter when they brought him into the warehouse. They said they had photos of him but I’m curious what he was doing in them.

I think it’s interesting that Edgar caved against Billy when he was threatened with leaking that Homelander has a kid. Does that mean that the general public believes that Supes can’t reproduce? You know that some Average Joe/Jane has to have tried. And we know Supes have hooked up with each other, you can’t tell me that they never hit the ole reproductive bullseye.

That reminds me, would they have developed BC for the female Supes? Could they use the regular stuff?

Hell I need that spinoff just so it can answer my questions that the main series doesn’t have time for lol
