Funny thing is, DC is more grounded in real world issues than ever before, what Marvel became famous for. Now Marvel movies are lighter in tone(for now) and DC makes the social commentary.
This is a great start for DC universe, imo. Can't wait for the next movies (which should be Wonder Woman and Flash /or a villain movie).

Man of Steel, while entertaining, is not better than any of the Marvel Phase 1 films, and is hardly better than the worst X Men film

DC is kind of stuck. The nature of DC heroes is more morally serious than what Marvel puts out, but that is apparently not what this generation of ADD movie goers wants. They want Thor, The Avengers, and Transformers.
There's a time and place for most approaches, it doesn't make them more juvenile, just different.

I'm facebook friends with people that thought Captain America was awesome. What do you even say to these people?
You say, "Yeah it was a pretty good film, I agree!"
Nothing wrong with Caps. It was a movie that played to its roots and the new Marvel thematic ideal. And it did that quite well. It was campy a bit, on purpose.

this is subjective of course, but I disagree. As stated before, I think the critics sort of missed the point on this movie and it will be more fondly remembered than the current opinion on it.

These things are so subjective. I thought it was better than all of the x-men movies and still better than avengers. I enjoyed all of them but thought MOS was better.

Death to the "Wolverine The X-Man and his team of Xmen" bullshite that is being shoved down our throats.
First Class is really good so what do they do? Let's bring back frickstick Singer and ALL of the old crew.

No shite- the part written for Cyclops was terrible and they cast an actor who falls to the background.
Cyclops, especially since he's finally been given room to grow in the comics, is just as, if not more, compelling than Wolverine. Maybe one day they'll get the part/casting right, but as long as Singer/Fox is in control, I doubt it.

I thought First Class was much better than the other X-men movies. As a whole, they could have down a much better job with the X-men movies.

Singer, Ratner, and the entire creative team should have been forced to retire after that BS. They destroyed my favorite X-men. The last time i checked Cyclops was not a pussy

TDKR sucked balls. That's a fact and I think the rest of the world has finally come around to this. It's an unintentional parody, it's THAT movie our kids will make fun of us for liking so much.

If you think about it, MoS started off as TDKR/BB and about an hour into it became Thor.
Did you actually watch the movie? The entire beginning was Thor like with all of the krypton shite.

TDKR's main problem is that it tries to shove way too much into it. Should have just added another hour to it to properly develop the story and split it into 2 movies 6 months apart.

I can agree with this. The same could be said for MoS and TDK.
There's a common theme here.

It was ridiculous. The premise (zero crime in Gotham) the plan (to blow up Gotham via an energy source turned nuke LOL) and the way to stop it all (a guy who just broke his back 2 months earlier)
Oh yeah, all the dumbass police got trapped underground...

That's the way I felt when I walked out of MoS. It was very confusing for me. I've never LOVED and HATED a movie so much while watching it in the theater.
