As gay as True Blood
Maybe there will be some “gay” stuff in later episodes, but I can’t recall a single thing in those first two episodes that sets off my gaydar. But then again, my gaydar may not be as sensitive as some of y’all’s who are constantly checking after each ping.

The star calls it the gayest one yet.

So? She seems like the person who would say that, whether because she’s bisexual or because it’s pride month, whether there was anything “gay” about the show itself at all.

Regardless, your review that it was “as gay as True Blood,” was apparently based solely on what an actress said?

I honestly feel like they’re doing this stuff to troll y’all as much as anything.

I thinj his point is he doesn’t care about The Star’s opinion more than his own.

Its hilarious to me that these people just can't help themselves. Its like they don't want the series to do well.

Just after the first 2 episodes, I'm ready to give up on it. It sucks. If they sprinkled in some gay it might be a little interesting at least. It's just bad.

I think the title of this thread should have been “now steaming.”

Steaming like a fresh pile of dog shite on a crisp winter day.

it was a gay interviewer saying that. The Show runner did actually push back on it a little bit before joking that C-3PO always seemed gay

No. I’m one of those who watches something and then forms an opinion on it, based on what I watched, not based on some random comment from an actor, especially when it relates to something about that actor’s identity.

Maybe it’s going to end up being Brokeback Planet or something, or maybe it’s just going to have not even hints at a single intimate relationship of any sort.

But the first 2 episodes at least, were far closer to the latter, and hell, if anything, the dude that gave Mae the poison seemed to want to get with Osha when he thought she was Mae.

This happens any time there is a gay actor or gay character

the media makes a huge deal out of it

yall act like it’s the end of western civilization

and then the movie show comes out and they have their 14 seconds of screen time and the show moves on.

This thing is sinking like a rock. I’ve watched the Audience score on this since last night. Around the time it premiered, the audience score was at 51%. By this morning about 9:00 AM that had fallen to 47%. Now, about 7 hours later, it’s at 41%. By the time the next episode comes out this thing could be approaching single digits.

It depends. A one-off comment like “gayest Star Wars ever” is a lot different than saying something like “Luke Skywalker was in love with Han Solo.” It is weird to be outraged by the first comment, especially before seeing the show; it would be weird to make the second comment, and the outrage would be more understandable.

This is the difference between snowflakes looking to be offended, and someone saying intentionally trying to offend people.
