Did a single movie that come out this year have any cultural relevance? Movies feel completely disposable in this era. Even the ones that do decent numbers are completely forgotten and never talked about again. I think that's indicative of just how demoted movies got over the past decade They used to be sort of the pinnacle of pop culture and now are m just one of the pack.

The downfall of civility in our Nation is one of the reasons people aren’t going to movies.

It doesn’t take many people talking and cutting up in the movie to ruin it and make the normal people decide to watch the next one at home.

You could make the case for Sinners

And maybe F1 as the summer blockbuster

But that’s about it of note for me

I haven’t been to a movie theater in at least 3 years. It’s a shame.
