I dunno, man. Seeing a little kid get sucked straight to hell was pretty fricked.

If I'm thinking of the right movie that Scream character is the one I want if I ever had a psycho killer after me. I mean that girl kicked his arse two or three times, I would like my chances

Drag Me To Hell. Movies don't tend to frick with me that much but seeing that happen to a child was awful - as campy as that flick was.

How Wes Craven Freaked Us All Out With That Opening Scene of 'Scream'

Just found this article while googling about the scene. Shame I can't stream the movie for halloween. I haven't seen it in many years.

It's available to stream on all the rental platforms (Amazon, Apple, Google Play, etc.).

I refuse to watch drag me to hell for multiple reasons.

I think it's supposed to be.

How did Steve’s insides get ripped out without the audience seeing the killer? You could hear it happening but couldn’t see anything

The camera was facing the other direction

The camera was on Drew Barrymore while Ghostface cut Steve open. I believe they actually filmed the gutting but were forced to cut it from the film to bring it down from its initial NC-17 rating.

I thought that was the point of the movie

We were used to opening scenes killing off characters... Friday the 13th does this, Halloween does this...it was nothing new.

Maybe the long playing around and brutality made it different but it wasn't that shocking. Drew Barrymore wasn't Audrey Hepburn being killed off or as mentioned Janet Leigh in Pyscho.
