Saw this the other day... Simply great.

Probably should have been released 15 yrs ago. Amazingly an entire generation has now passed that never saw Farley alive, and in his prime. Don't know if they realize how truly gigantic the guy was.

Those clips was back the memories like crazy. The guy's a true legend. Best physical comedian I've ever seen.

That’s the best thing Adam Sandler’s done in over a decade. That was incredible.

ETA I’m a little bit younger but it just dawned on me watching that that Kevin James was basically just filling in Chris Farley’s spot in Grown Ups. Damn he must have felt a little out of place.

Yeah man the world truly took a loss when this guy died.

I’ve often selfishly wished he woulda just made it another 5 or 10 years just to see what other legendary movies and bits we woulda had.

Grownups woulda been off the charts with Farley

Just so many onions in here.

Every now and again we’ll have the discussion at work with some of the kids about funniest/greatest comedians. Farley is always one I recommend they look up.

Honestly I was genuinely and extremely happy to see the level of applause Farley got in that bit. As was mentioned he passed away 25 years ago and to get that kind of ovation really speaks to the man. I know the crowd wasn't a bunch of 12 year olds but still.

to Sandler and Farley.

We said you better slow down or
You’ll end up like belushi and candy

He said those guys are my hero’s
That’s all fine and dandy

I didn’t make that shut up that’s the truth
About my boy Chris Farley ...

It's pretty awesome that they (Sandler, Schneider, Spade, Rock) keep Farley's memory alive. It says a lot about those guys. Farley was the funniest of all of them and I think they know it. Farley would have done so much had he lived. It's sad to think about.

Apparently Sandler did the song in Wisconsin, Farley's home state.

It's also a prime crowd who would've known and loved that whole SNL crew.

What's so weird is that Sandler still has this kind of stuff in him, yet makes such crap all the time just for the cash I guess.

The story of his death and the photos are absolutely brutal.

Like most truly great and respected comedians the only person he couldn't bring joy to was himself.

The part of the song where he referenced his father damn near brought a tear to my eye. The world needs more people like Chris Farley right now.

I know addicts hold a large measure of responsibility for their problems, but I honestly don't know how an addict Farley survives what he was thrown into. He was literally killed by fame. Guy couldn't step foot anywhere in New York without a half dozen drinks being bought for him and the immediate pressure to be "on" and the life of the party.

Do you just give up your entire career, all the hard work you did, your passions, your friends? Throw it all away and move back to Podunk, WI and be a social studies teacher and try not to drink yourself to death?

That guitar solo was terrible.

The Chippendale’s sketch with Swayze might be my all time favorite on SNL.

Very touching. Amazing how that group of guys have stuck together.

If someone did a tribute like that for Phil Hartman I’d be a fricking mess.
