Temptation Island S5 - anybody watching?

Watched the first episode and several things stick out.
I’m not sure they could have picked more insecure people, especially the women. And I’m not sure they could’ve picked less attractive couples, even worse than last season I think. Even the singles aren’t that great looking; only about half the women are decent. I guess the single dudes are good looking.
The 34 year old seems to be a pretty horrible human being and partner. There’s zero chance she and her dude (Robert I think) stay together.
The foreign black chick (Paris I think) is the same way. Jealous at the drop of a hat and flips the switch to being pissed. And her boyfriend’s name is Great.
The white couple, the girl is the one who brought them there, and she’s freaking out every time the dude (Hall) talks to anybody. She says he’s a flirt and has banged tons of women. He says she’s a huge flirt and likes six packs.
The Marisela/Christopher couple seem to be the most normal and grounded.
Also, I think with the exception of the white dude, all the other dudes have cheated in the past.
Oh nevermind, Marisela wants a girlfriend. And she’s bawling crying because he’s sharing that with people in the house.
New changes this season. The couples spent the first night together. They had a party with everyone together (couples and singles), and things are as awkward as possible. There’s only 8 singles on each side (aren’t there usually like 15+?). And of course, the temptation light that lights up red any time someone is being intimate with the singles, and I’m not sure but I think it may go off in the other house even.
Is anybody else watching, or just me?

We plan on watching, but after getting a new puppy last weekend, we haven't watched shite.

The older Black-ish chick that's in her mid-30s is insufferable. That young dude needs to run.

Agreed. She is awful and that couple is doomed. She is the absolute worst kind of person, and it’s funny that you can sort of tell all the singles know she’s toxic and aren’t truly interested.
The Jamaican (?) couple (Great and Paris?) also seem doomed.
The white couple is 50/50 I think. But it will come down to if he cheats or not IMO.

Is anybody watching this shitshow?
It seems like every single person on this show is at the emotional equivalency of maybe a 15 year old. Just the way they handle things and how inept they are at emotions, flirting, conversation, all of it. I actually feel embarrassed for most people on the show, couples and singles.
The dudes all seem to be there to get their dicks wet. Great is telling one chick to come to cuddle in his bed, then asking another chick out the next day, but then being mad that girl 1 said she isn’t coming cuddle in bed after he tells her he’s taking someone else out. Like he’s upset about it.
Paris sitting there talking nonchalantly about “I’d frick him but wouldn’t date him,” or “I’d definitely suck his dick if the cameras weren’t here, but they are so I acted like a good girl..” Good Lord. I really hope they play that clip in the bonfire.
Hall fawns all over every single thing his huge knocks girl says and does. It doesn’t even matter what it is.
Vanessa (aka worst person ever) is interested in one dude, but then wants to take other dudes out on dates. But also doesn’t want the other girls to talk to the dude she actually likes. Wtf.
Rob likes one chick. Then likes her friend and tries to make out with her. Then wants to tell the first chick he wants the friend. And I guarantee you he goes back to the first one at some point.
All the single dudes just want to frick, which is typical. But it’s hilarious how they don’t even hide it really. And then the couples girls are like “I don’t get why he’s like that.”

On episode 3… so far better than last season. At least the people are more attractive.
A couple of the single girls are for sure strippers in real life. The black/Hispanic guy can’t even hook up with girls set up for him. Having a mental breakdown and crying into his pillow…what a loser. His big, thick girlfriend will be getting pounded by the single guys.
The southern dude and his girlfriend seem normal. Not sure why they are really there.

It’s hilarious how none of the people on this show have any depth whatsoever to them. It’s all superficial bullshite. Even on all of the dates before eliminations it was nothing but useless platitudes back and forth. “Oh you’re the one I was really interested in, I just didn’t say it before.” “I’ve been a really good friend and am trying to get to know everybody.” “What can I do to be your #1?” Blah blah blah.

I love that Great is all pissed about Paris making out with that dude when he just banged Nafeesa or whatever the hell her name is.
I also absolutely love how they show everyone the clips on this tiny TV like 10+ feet away.
It’s hilarious that all of the dudes are basically over their relationships and the season is maybe halfway through (and only a week or so has passed).
The clips of public dancing and grinding would bother me the least I think. That’s not intimate shite in the shadows or the bedroom. That’s just messing around and having fun in everyone’s presence.
Looks like next week shite hits the fan because the couples see what the other side is doing and ups the ante to make things even.

Pretty sure I’m done watching. None of these people have any redeeming qualities or know how to have a legit conversation. It’d be different if there were some real connections being made and true decisions about being torn between partners. I guess people like that wouldn’t go on this show tho.

Hall is the biggest POS in the couples cast. He broke up with his GF just to date other women (not because the relationship didn't work) and never told her that's why he wanted to split up. AND SHE TOOK HIM BACK.

These girls at 22-23 in tears that they haven't met their soulmate yet are hysterical. You're brain isn't even fully formed yet, sweetie. You're not even a complete human beinf at 22. Even if you did meet your person, at that age the odds that you'd frick it up are astronomical. Live a little. Finish baking, then look for love.

This show is such a train wreck. Every couple except for one has cheated multiple times. And the one that hasn’t is the white engaged couple where Hall is readily saying every ten minutes that Kaitlin isn’t the one and he’s done with her.
Paris and Great both getting really upset at the other, while both have literally physically cheated on each other, is peak hilarity.
It’s also nice to see Vanessa freaking the frick out about her dude cheating. She seems like she belittles him every second of every day, and has verbally said multiple times that she lowered her standards to be with him. And now that he’s saying the same thing she’s going on and on about “disrespect.” She’s the fricking worst.

Nah, TI is really the only one I do. They are really pushing that "big D" show HARD during TI, so I suspect ratings aren't great for it.
I'm not sure I'm even familiar with Love Island...what is the premise of that one? I know the "Big D" one is basically like a dating show, but people have their ex-wives/husbands on there too.

The Big D was such a dud that TBS chose to shelve it instead of airing that nonsense, this time last year. It's been in the can forever. JoJo and Jordan were still engaged when that was filmed.
Love Island is the American version of the insanely popular UK dating show. Much more like Bachelor in Paradise than Temptation Island, per se. Bunch of hot guys and gals in a 10-room resort villa in Fiji. They pair up each week, go on dates, etc, and there's a recoupling ceremony where they alternate (guys one week, girls the next) who they want to couple up with for the week. There are obvious eliminations along the way, new islanders added to spice things up, etc.
It's absolutely brain cell-killing content, but it's Thurs-Tues, unlike most shows that are only weekly. It airs on Peacock.
