Nate is such a prick load. Can’t wait for him to be embarrassed
If Roy punches him I might happy cry

What a weird question in a trailer thread that has the premiere date at the end of the trailer.
I didn’t watch the trailer. I know I’m going to watch it. Sometimes trailers give away more than I care to see.

Can't wait. Plan on binge watching it.

I just finished a re-watch in preparation for the new season. Still incredible, great writing. I appreciate the Keeley character more, she was as positive a character as Ted.
I paid closer attention to Nate's story, and the betrayal is even worse the 2nd time around. Ted took this meek mouse and empowered him by encouraging him to speak his mind about the team and designing plays. And in a situation that would have happened nowhere else, Nate got promoted to coach. Nate owed everything to Ted.
While they were building up Nate's frustration throughout the 2nd season (and his unfortunate tendency to punch down on his replacement, as bullied people tend to do when they get power themselves), I remember thinking the first time around that Nate turning on Ted seemed rather abrupt (and wildly unfair). On the 2nd viewing, it still seemed abrupt to me. But Nick's performance tearing into Ted at the end there was still brilliant.
But this is a show that demands a redemption arc, so we'd better see Nate have a breakdown and major turnaround.

Probably the greatest thing Keeley did on the show was not get mad or humiliate Nate after he kissed her. Instead of showing disgust, she was immediately compassionate and was looking after his feelings.
But then Nate's worst humiliation came when Roy refused to get mad at him and immediately forgave him (while at the same time being angry because Jamie declared his love for Keeley), because he didn't see Nate as even remotely a threat.
Great writing to build a villain.

Pretty good start. Everyone looks so much older.

OK, I'm finally gaining an understanding of Nate's behavior. When he's being his normal meek Nate, he can't handle the pressure of having power/responsibility, whether as assistant coach at Richmond, or head coach at West Ham. He has total imposter syndrome. That spit of self-hatred says it all.

Good episode.
Though I found it weird to have Keely on the phone being mad at Joe Rogan. Anybody who knows anything about him knows that he doesn’t give a frick about soccer. It felt weird and forced.
