Well, Newman is really old now and I'm not sure if he's still writing any new songs. I mean, for context, Newman was already writing songs when Lester Maddox was the governor of Georgia and was storming off the stage of the Dick Cavett show after Jim Brown pissed him off.
Still, this Taylor Swift song is horrible. Even if they didn't use Newman, they sure as hell shouldn't have used Swift.

He is still scoring the movie. But I guess if you can get the most popular act in the world to do a song you take it.
