It’s obvious Nolan has poor taste in women. This broad is ugly as a mud fence and he cast that Gyllenhall basset hound as the love interest in TDK. Bruce Wayne, the wealthiest magnate in Gotham, if not the world, is going to be attracted to these two dogs? Holy Suspension of Disbelief, Batman.
I find Marion Cottillard sexy as hell.
Katie Holmes, Anne Hathaway... the guy makes one questionable recast and he's labeled a dog lover.

absolutely but she was not at all believable in that role.

DKR was not a good film. I love Batman. I like Batman Begins and Dark Knight.

DKR is infuriating

Pure speculation, but I think the big drop-off in quality from the first two is that the third was probably originally written to include Heath Ledger. When he passed away, they probably had to do some pretty dramatic rewrites of the script in a short amount of time.

There’s mixed stories on that but I believe the original plan was to have him in the role that the Scare Crow played and that it was going to play a bigger part into the story but I don’t think he was going to be the main bad guy

Im just spitballing here but It would’ve been a fun twist to have Joker break him out of the pit directly or indirectly, especially after all his talk about them needing each other.

Better than Bruce being bunk mates with a knockoff tony stark to give him magic braces atleast

I think a more direct impact was just Nolan getting more interested in the large set pieces and directing these scenes at massive scale. Everything seems like it’s trying to be so much bigger than the previous 2, which leads to some really cool looking scenes but had to skim heavily on the plot and dialogue to make room for it. From this point on he pretty much exclusively started doing these huge epics and visual /effect lead movies like Inception / interstellar etc

There have probably been at least a half dozen times over the years when you’ve popped into a thread to say how ugly you think some attractive woman is. It’s ok not to be attracted to women, but that doesn’t make them ugly.
