Yep. He was very fortunate to have Qui Gon mentor him. Two of the best traits he had and passed on to Obi Wan. Can you imagine if Anakin had a Master like Qui Gon that actually wanted to train him and get him to reach his full potential? Would be so cool to see an "alternate universe" type thing where this happens.

Anakin claimed INCESSANTLY to Obi-Wan that he could beat Yoda in a duel until he saw Yoda fight Count Dooku then he was like, uuuh ub dub dub uuuuuh.

He brings his lunch pail to work every day, is a coach on the floor and really gives 100%.
In modern times, he'd be a wide receiver for the Patriots.

Still say the emperor should have kicked Anakin in the lava after being burnt to a crisp and go after Obi-Wan.

Obi Wan had full jedi training and I believe would have been incorruptible between that and his naturally strong will, determination, and patience. Anakin fell relatively easy because he was already unstable. Had he been taken in as an infant it would have been much harder. But obviously that's part of his character that he didn't have those things ingrained into him like most Jedi. He was in constant conflict.
