Remember when he shut those Nazi bastards down and won World War II on the soccer field?

I thought he did a very good understated job in copland. he played kind of a has been washed up cop at a point when he was kind of a has been washed up actor.

Wasn't he in The Lords of Flatbush? It's been a long time since I saw that, but it was a younger Stallone who hadn't been stereotyped yet.

I saw that very young and didnt understand why Rocky and Fonzie werent kicking everyone's arse

"I did it". It was the first time in the films that he took credit for anything he had accomplished, which made it a very powerful line.

I've always believed if you wanted to show Aliens what 80s films were all about you'd show them the opening scene in Cobra.

Really good when he wanted to be.

I guess he didn't "want to be" good actor most of his career I'll give an
A for effort in Copland though.

Some boxing scenes were barely believable
in Rocky because he was a horrible athlete. Carl Weathers carried many of those scenes with his athletcism.

Comparable to Kurt Russell, but not as consistent, in ability.

Wow,no where close IMO.I can't imagine Stallone taking on almost any of Russell's
roles. Elvis? Jack Burton?Wyatt Earp?Best of Times? Silkwood?

MAYBE he could have done Snake Plissken but not close to Russell's portrayal.
