It still blows me away that people go on that show that can't swim! First off, it's the 21st century, who can't swim? Parents, make damn sure your kids can swim. I don't care what color you are. It could save their life. Secondly, if you're not a good swimmer, the second you find out your made it on the show, hire a swim coach and carry your lead filled arse to the pool! Such a simple way to prevent yourself from looking like the weakest link.
Unfortunately that is not a priority to certain people in society. I agree though, get taught or don't go on a show where you will have to swim.

The editing on this show is unreal.the whole show it didn't look like wentworth had a shot at staying and voila! keith is out?

i'm rooting for her to stay, she's nice to look at and seems to be helpful in comps.

LOL @ the 2 women saying "this is why the men always win" but continuing to be lazy and stand around chatting while others look for idols.

Lauren is pretty hot. nice to see her get some air time.

rawdog will likely be around a while since they need him in comps.

Wendy annoys me. so, she can go.

and wtf with the dancing !

Yeah, they made it seem like once Wardog was approached with the blindside Kelley plan he convinced them to go back to Keith, but who knows how accurate that really was.

I'm sure there is a lot of that sort of thing that goes on due to boredom (especially pre-merge on a winning tribe) but not much makes the edits.

It actually felt like they wanted us to believe Kelly was going but they focused a little too much on her. Had a feeling it would be Keith going.

Have to figure we see about 35-40 minutes of 3 days worth of filming. Have to pass the time some way.

Right, and a good chunk of that focuses on the other tribe, especially when they are the ones going to tribal.

Part of me hopes there is no swap and these tribes go at it until there is a merge, and if that means one tribe is still at 8 or 9 and the other one is down to 2 or 3, so be it. I only remember that happening once, and I thought it made for a really good season.

I say this every season. I hate hashtag drop your buffs in the third episode and they are only about 10 days in. let them play it out.

Yep, that's correct. It gets better as the numbers shrink and they merge. I just had a feeling Kelly wasn't going home last night. I'm also wondering what Keith decided to do.

that article was a great read. they didn't allude to the tribe advantage at all in the intro that I recall? makes you wonder what other things they set up that goes completely unnoticed by the players and doesn't see tv. I'd imagine they will try it again in future seasons.

Jeff didn't say anything about it. The Episode 1 recap by the same guy that wrote that behind the scenes piece said that Joe saw it and got the canned goods for his tribe, but it didn't make the final episode edit. I guess there wasn't a race for it or anything dramatic.

That's pretty much what he said.

quote:

there was also a tribe reward clue on the boat saying to dive underneath a buoy to retrieve a crate of canned goods. You never saw this on the show, because like so many other things, it got cut for time. (Had the premiere been 90 minutes long it surely would have made it). Anyway, I’ll give you one guess as to who swam out and retrieved it? Yep, Joey Amazing.

Am I the only who thought the end was irritating? It was obviously scripted. It's an easy choice early. Stay in the game. It's not like you can't decide to drop out at any time. I mean you could pick up the torch and get on the boat, then you could decide to quit anyway once you get to the edge of extinction place if you want. They told him to act like it was tough decision so they could have a cliff hanger ending.

No, you're not. Who would possibly get all the way out there, get voted out second, then give up their chance to stay in the game? No one. People have quit before, but much later into the game, and not with redemption staring them in the face.

The only caveat on that would be is how many people have we seen that was so inept and anything athletic? Not many.

I've been meh so far after two episodes. I did not care for the ending last night. Are we really supposed to believe that he would bail after four days? And if he did, well their selection process needs a complete revamp. This isn't season three.

But I'll keep watching

I'm still learning names but the chick who found the idol is rocking whatever she is wearing. Woooooooooow.

I asked Jeff Probst before the game began if he anticipated anyone not choosing to remain in the game when offered the choice, and he told me that if someone opted to quit then “we cast wrong.”

So yeah, spot on.

Yeah, that was definitely to get people to tune in next week. It was weak.
