Last night’s episode rocked. I was a little bit skeptical with Mr. Beast showing up for the auction, but someone else already mentioned it, it was by far the best twist of the entire season so far.
I liked Steph, but her gameplay was pretty poor. She was somewhat correct in that it was Jonathon’s overall plan, but she was on board from the jump. What screwed Steph was her inability to lie to Cirie, and I think an even bigger thing, was outright admitting to the entire tribe, and jury, that she will never be the driver for any vote, or semblance of a plan. Yes, she’s trying to deflect the target off her back, and some people get carried because of zero threat to win, but how silly to sit there and admit to the jury (who is voting on the winner) that you’re a sheep, and will never come up with a plan yourself.
Rizzo gets a lot of shite from y’all, yes he’s arrogant, but he’s playing a pretty solid season. He’s playing a better season than most other people, and we are talking about people who have played 3-4 times.
I don’t mind Cirie, but it would make for a somewhat boring winner. She is a great person, has the “mom” persona, and her ability to control the narrative, and summon an army to carry out her plans is pretty impressive I will say.
I’ve done a complete 180 again on Devins. I really liked him in Edge of Extinction. The first half of this game, I was not a fan of his game really whatsoever. The last 3 weeks, he has won me over again. Almost to the point I’m rooting for him more so than anyone except for maybe Ozzy. I still think his “fake idol” at Tribal was a great moment. Then having the balls to put his game on the line for a 50/50 chance at going home or an extra million was wild. Yeah he was on the chopping block, but I loved the way he said “I want it”
Emily, Tiff, and Aubry doing their usual. They still had no business being here, but at least Tiff has won some immunity’s.
I really like Joe as a person, but he has zero prowess when it comes to strategic play. He is almost too good of a person to be playing a cutthroat game. The aww shucks good guy act can work, but this is also a game show for a lot of money, and at some point you have to seperate and say to yourself, you are playing a game, this is no indictment on my overall character.
Jonathon is still playing much better this time around from a strategic standpoint, but he has been going pretty hard the last couple of weeks, I think he will get the boot soon.
I still think Ozzy has played the best game up to this point. He’s a challenge threat, has an idol still, and has really surrounded himself with relationships from pretty much every single person left in the game outside of maybe Tiff.
I think the Final 9 is going to be pretty good. Again, great overall episode. Survivor Auction, a massive twist, an incredible Tribal Council, flipping a coin for a million dollars, Devins being safe, and now gaining an idol, and a “live Tribal” Kudos to Mr. Beast on throwing in a million to the pot. Survivor has had the same payout for a quarter century, and even if this season hasn’t been exactly what I hoped for, it is still Season 50. 2 million for the winner I’m good with.

I don't see it happening.. Devens' idol will get flushed out way before, but it would be awesome.
Actually, I think it is very possible. Devens isn’t on the bottom anymore. I see Johnathan Emily or Tiff going next.

I still can’t stand the RizzTard but he is playing well. Hasn’t really done anything special but still doing good.

He's made the right alliances and been on the right side of evert vote he has been at, but nothing stands out.
He'll have to make a few moves against Cirie and Ozzy to win in the end.

shot in the dark
something I've wondered but, I'm not sure they ever ever explained it. How many shots in the dark end up being safe? Is it just 1 in group of 16?

I don't like Joe this season. He's too serious all of the time and looks miserable. I hope he goes next.

Devens going scorched earth was great, don’t think I’ve seen anyone do that before. Man has some balls, that’s for sure.
Devens has been successful leveraging his reputation of playing aggressively, almost recklessly. He might not have won the $1 million in the past but he makes money from his gameplay. Whether he won the flip or not, he’ll have even bigger audiences and revenue as a result. His play style is a hedge against not winning.

Each one has a 1/6 chance of being safe.

Not having Eva around to soften him has made him a miserable player this season. He hates the aspects of the game that the audience loves. I'd be fine with him wanting to play an honest game, but trying to force it on others is not fun to watch.

Did they explain that at some point?

I think it's been that way since they introduced it a few seasons ago. I am not sure if they directly mentioned it this season.

am i the only person in the world who does not know wtf mr beast is?

I know him because of my kids originally. He’s the YouTube guy who does crazy videos giving huge sums of money or prizes to get views and monetize that.
He has a male friend who joined the trans movement and that’s where my kids journey with Mr Beast ended.

I know of him. I have never watched his videos. I did watch the Pitch Meeting youtube video of his gameshow. I knew he was a big deal, but I didn't know he was a 480m subscribers billionaire big deal, though.
I am really tired of the celebrity portions of these episodes. It is so unnecessary. Well, let me correct that. Mr. Beast was the first necessary one since he put up the extra million. For the others, I really hope Survivor just needed the money and they are making money off of these appearances and mentions. If not, it is only detracting from the show.

Never heard of him until that episode aired.

Just wondering what the odds are. I mean if you know you're getting voted out it probably doesn't matter.

It's definitely 1/6. I am still confused why people gain so much confidence when another player gives them their shot in the dark, especially the Christian situation. Let's say Christian didn't have to vote for himself, I'd rather take my chance that I either convinced enough people to vote with me or the vote shifted to someone else rather than a 17% chance that I save myself.
Now, when the numbers get lower, it makes more sense.

Hated to see Steph go but, she played a terrible game.
She had no juice this season. They should have cast Jerri instead.

If these folks continue to drag Cirie along to the end, they deserve to lose to her. Sooner or later they have to figure that out.
If I had to guess, they’ll are banking on her losing final 4 fire.
