Did it seem like fire was edited very strangely?

Seemed like the energy between cuts was changing in an unnatural way.

I think Kyle has won me over.

Figured he was a solid dude for a little while now but truly could not stand his game and how obviously sketchy/dangerous he was for a bulk of the game.

I wanted Joe to win but Kyle honestly played the better game. He deserved the win.

ETA: does anyone think Kamilla just threw the fire challenge? I’ve never seen someone not make a fire.

All in all, it was an average to slightly above average season. Hopefully next season is better.

It was bad.. but Eva was pretty fast (at least based on the edit) and there have been some before that took a long time for both.

Plus no reason to throw it.. I can't imagine she was so loyal to Kyle that she'd do that.

Was just a thought. If Kamilla would’ve won, final tribal would have been interesting.

I think Joe could've easily argued that he didn't need to make behind the scene moves. He built an alliance and was the rock that got them to the final 3. His game was so good, he played his game out in the open. At least that could've been his argument, but he didn't really make it.

That was one of the more likable casts I’ve seen on Survivor.

Survivor 50 players fly out next week and the cast list is out there.

It’s… interesting. Some people I’m really glad to see and some I’m scratching my head. If anybody wants to see I can post the link.

It’s being announced on Wednesday anyway.

This

Plus if he follows his instincts about 3 more feet he blows up Kyle’s ridiculous plan and that becomes the only move Joe would have needed to get every single vote

Hmm... more old pulls than I expected. Some that I'm happy to see back.

And a few that don't remember.

Surprising to see Mike White back after the White Lotus success

No offense, but if that is average to slight above average...then what is below average?

For me, that was by far the worst season of the New Era. 41 having super fun, dynamic characters like JD, Shan, Brad, Ricard, Danny, Tiffany, Deshawn, etc. made up for the stupid advantages.

None taken, likeable people this time. Not great, not bad.

I thought it was a below average season. If I ranked all the seasons it would probably be somewhere in the 30s. Kyle winning makes the ranking higher than it would be otherwise.

I am impressed by this board's ability to remember so many names from seasons. In 2 months, I will have a tough time remembering any names from this season, let alone multiple seasons ago. And I'm usually commended on having a great memory in other things.

Same

Shan sticks out, but I'd have had to googled to remember she was on 41.

I'd say 47 was mid tier.. it wasn't bad, there wasn't an undeserving (at least to us) winner, it wasn't DEI in our face.

Good cast, but ultimately boring for the viewer in a lot of weeks.

One thing I really liked was Kamilla telling Kyle "I got you" when the topic of Shauhin came up.
I'm not sure I can remember another time when a jury member was acting actively in concert with a finalist. I'm not talking about the generic "this person played the best game, so the moral thing to do is vote for him/her" plea. I'm talking about full on cahoots. It was awesome.

This is why I don't get the hate for this season. It was mid-tear but certinaly worth watching. I don't think I have ever seen a season where the contestants seemed to still genuinely like each other in the end. That was different, I think it is always good when a season of Survivor hits a different chord.
